The New Orleans Summer Open was held on Tuesday, June 27th at the Tulane University. This was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2024-2028 classes and will serve as an identifier for our Future Games and Jr. Future Games teams this coming summer, as well as any of our future invite-only events, such as the Top Prospect Games and the State Games.  All players in attendance went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast, the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to receive their numbers and metrics off of Trackman, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more.

Cary Aymond, Lafayette Christian (LA), 2024
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-8, 180-pounds. Athletic with a strong lower-half.
Delivery: Starts on 1B side of rubber and stays there, brings glove down then back up during leg lift, strides on-line and finished off to the 1B side some.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm stroke with a high 3/4-OTT release.
FB: T72, 71-72 mph. Had some cut at times and plays up in the zone some. T2272, 2146 average rpm.
CB: 62-63 mph. "11-5" shape with good depth and above average spin rates, landed for strikes and swing/miss. T2536, 2500 average rpm.
SL: 64-65 mph. Has some sweep and depth, more of a swing/miss pitch. T2607, 2519 average rpm.
CH: 66-68 mph. Some arm-side run. T1915, 1899 average rpm.
CUT: 66-67 mph. Short lateral break, did have some depth when he really got on top of it.
ATH: 8.11 runner in the 60.

Marc Canzoneri, John Curtis Christian (LA), 2025
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP
Body: 5-11, 155-pounds. Athletic and lean.
Delivery: Starts in middle of rubber and stays there, brings glove down and back up during leg lift, strides on-line and finishes square to his target.
Arm Action: LH. Long and loose arm swing with a 3/4 release.
FB: T74, 71-74 mph. Classic left-handed arm side run. T1787, 1678 average rpm.
CB: 63-70 mph. "1-7" shape, tunnels well off FB, missed to arm-side a couple times, was really good when he got through it. T1827, 1748 average rpm.
SL: 64-65 mph. T1994, 1849 average rpm.
CH: 66-66 mph. Some fade. T1207, 1177 average rpm.
ATH: 7.70 runner in the 60.

Kinkaid Hinyup, Patrick Taylor Science and Tech (LA), 2024
Positional Profile: 1B/C
Body: 6-4, 210-pounds. Physical.
Delivery: Worked exclusively out the stretch off the 1B side, glove held down at waist level, high leg lift, drops and drives down the slope, strides slightly closed and finished off to the 1B side some.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm swing with a high 3/4-OTT release.
FB: T80, 80-80 mph. Spotty control, but good downward tilt, heavy. T1804, 1730 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. "12-6" with sharp top to bottom break, swing and miss type of pitch. T1855, 1729 average rpm.
CH: 74-75 mph. Firm, with a little cut. T1408, 1309 average rpm.
ATH: 7.59 runner in the 60.

Trey Turnage, Pearl River (LA), 2024
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds. Athletic with long limbs.
Delivery: Starts on the 1B side of the rubber and stays there throughout a quick and deliberate delivery, hides ball with a strong front side, rotated around body and finished off to the 1B side some.
Arm Action: RH. Short and quick arm action, 3/4 release and a low sidearm release.
FB: T82, 71-82 mph. Arm side run at times from normal slot, sink/run from down under. T1841, 1742 average rpm.
CB: 62-62 mph. "11-5" shape from normal arm slot, tunnels well off FB, late bite down in the zone. T1928, 1928 average rpm.
SL: 61-71 mph. From lower slot, short lateral break with some depth. T1739, 1670 average rpm.
CH: 61-62 mph. Sink and fade with good feel to land for strikes to arm side from lower slot. T1909, 1515 average rpm.
