Future Games Spotlight: 2018 RHP/INF Will Ripoll

On August 4th through August 6th, PBR Louisiana will take eight players in the Classes of 2018 and 2019 to represent Louisiana at the PBR Future Games at Grand Park in Indianapolis, IN. All seven Louisiana prospects will play on Team Select.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, more than 150 colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the nation.

Scouting Report

A 5-foot-11, 171-pound right-handed pitcher and infielder with an average, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into a high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes upright. Fastball sits 85-89 mph with late run and command. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with late break and fastball arm speed at 75-77 mph. Flashes a quality changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 79-81 mph. Solid defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, and plays through balls well. Short arm action into a high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 84 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from an athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, solid lower half, and balance. Line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm, short path and quality bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 88 mph. Also posted a 7.12 60 yard dash.
