Week 5 has come and gone with most teams having finished their first week of district games and others, who will begin district play this week.  We saw a mega match-up last week between two district rivals, Barbe and Sam Houston, who were both ranked in the top 10 nationally, with Barbe at #2 and Sam Houston at #8.  2021 RHP Jack Walker (Barbe H.S.) was once again the difference maker for the Bucs on the mound.  The Mississippi State signee tallied a single game career high 14 K's in a complete game win for the Bucs and is our Player of the Week.
