Kentucky Pitcher of The Week

Week 3 of the Kentucky high school season produced a number of worthy nominations for our weekly Prep Baseball Kentucky Pitcher of The Week award, but ultimately we settled on one player for this week’s honor.

JJ Thompson, a senior LHP from Hopkinsville HS, fired a complete-game, three-hit shutout in a win over Lafayette this past weekend in Florida. Thompson was dominant, allowing just three hits while racking up 15 strikeouts in the victory. For the season, Jackson has been nearly unhittable, compiling a 4-0 record while allowing just six hits and striking out 55 in 25.1 innings pitched.

For his outstanding performance on the field, Wright State commit JJ Thompson has been named the Prep Baseball Kentucky Pitcher of The Week for March 25-31.
