Kentucky's inaugural Pre-Season All State Showcase on Monday, Feb.18 did not disappoint as it was the most talented event since PBR began operations in the state in the fall of 2012.
As we look through the list of stats, here are a few highlights from the event.
The arm strength on the mound was impressive as 9 pitchers topped out at 86 mph or higher, including unsigned senior RHP Yancey Pritchett with an event best 88 mph. A couple of RHP's in the class of 2014 topped out at 87 mph in Aaron Ochsenbein and Hunter Dunn.
Seven players ran a sub 7 sixty, led by an event best 6.80 by 2014 RHP/2B/OF Cameron Ross. 2015 RHP/OF Zach Hurley wasn't far behind with a 6.82.
2014 MIF Trevor Putzig showed off the top infield arm at 87 mph, while 2014 SS/OF Jason Suchanek flashed the best outfield arm at 89 mph.
Five players registered exit velocities of 90 mph or better, led by 2014 SS/RHP Zac Ching at 91 mph and 2014 3B Dale Gumm also at 91 mph.
