TN: Cross Hit Scout Day - Pitchers

Tim Kay
PBR Tennessee Director of Scouting

On August 11th, Vol State hosted a Scout Day for the Cross Hit organization.  This event included a position player workout, followed by pitchers throwing a 10-15 pitch pen on the game mound. Players were afforded the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of the PBR Tennessee staff and college coaches in attendance. The following is a look at every pitcher from the event:

Max FB: 86, FB: 84-85, CB: 64-66, CH: 74-76
6-foot-4, 170-pound, RHP showed a velo jump to go with a super projectable frame.  XL tall, athletic frame w/ prototypical pitcher size.  Super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Super quick arm w/ clean, repeatable delivery.  FB shows occasional short arm-side run.  Big downer CB w/ above average depth, best used to steal a strike.  CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink.  Around the zone, shows ability to pitch w/ intent to both corners.
