Snider transferred to Ballard from Champaign Central HS, IL, after is junior year. His father, Eric Snider, is entering his third season as the recruiting coordinator at Louisville. Snider’s pedigree gives him an advanced knowledge of the strike zone and he was considered to have one of the best approaches in Illinois. He doesn’t chase pitches and has good barrel awareness. He takes a short, level path and can backspin the baseball. He has good lateral range, quick hands and a short arm action. His throws are accurate and he has enough arm strength for plays up the middle and turning two.
