The PBR Future Games will kick off tomorrow with a position player workout at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Team Kentucky position players will run 60’s, participate in defensive evaluations, and take batting practice on the field. Game play begins on Friday with Team Kentucky taking on Ohio at 4:00 PM and Indiana at 7:00 PM. The event will conclude on Sunday with a 4:00 PM game against Tennessee.

Here is a look at the Team Kentucky Catchers for the event.

Catchers

Tanner Johnson, C, South Oldham HS, 2017
Scouting Report 2/14/15: 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect has proven to be the top catcher in Kentucky’s 2017 class. Right-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, short swing path with good extension through contact, shows projectable gap to gap power, showed good speed for the catcher position with 7.00 60-yard dash, 81 mph exit velocity. Defensively, shows a strong and balanced set up behind the plate, advanced receiver with soft glove hand and good feel for keeping pitches in the zone, solid blocking ability, very good arm strength at 80 mph from the crouch, consistent throws to the bag with 1.95-1.97 pop times, high-level prospect. Made PBR 16U Invitational 2^nd Team All-Tournament at WKU going 4-for-9 with a triple and RBI.

Landon Moberly, C, Lexington Catholic HS, 2017
Scouting Report 6/29/15 – 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter hits from an open stance and squares up with a short stride, shows good gap to gap power, registered an 82 mph exit velocity, smoked a double to deep left field in game play, ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Defensively shows solid receiving and blocking skills, quick glove to hand transfer, footwork stays online, 74 mph velocity with very accurate throws to the bag, 1.94-2.00 pop times. Led Kentucky Baseball Club 16U in extra base hits and RBI this summer.

Jackson Campbell, C/OF, Logan County HS, 2017
Scouting Report 6/16/15 - 5-foot-8, 160-pound right-handed hitter, flashed good speed with 4.20 home to first time, hits from a narrow/open stance and squares front side with a longer stride, good lower half torque and maintains balance through swing, shows hand quickness, went 2-for-4 in game play with two singles. Athletic defender in the outfield, very accurate throws with 84 mph velocity and online carry. Behind the plate has an extremely quick transfer and release, over the top release, 72 mph velocity, all throws on the bag with 1.90-1.96 pop times.
