Kentucky Draft Preview
June 3, 2016

The 2016 Major League Draft takes place June 9-11. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.
Kentucky had just one high school prospect drafted in 2015—RHP Riley Thompson (Christian Academy, KY) in the 37th round, who is now at Louisville—but the Bluegrass State has two PBR Draft 100 prospects that could hear their names called in the top 10 rounds if they’re deemed signable. Both are big, projectable arms, which is consistent with the state’s recent output of talent.
43. Easton McGee, RHP, Hopkinsville HS, KY
At 6-foot-6, 200-pounds, McGee is highly projectable and runs his fastball up to 92-93 mph with minimal effort in his delivery.
