Analyzing the Corner Infielders from the Western Kentucky Prospect ID Showcase

Today we continue our look at prospects in attendance at the Western Kentucky Prospect ID Showcase in Owensboro with a complete analysis of the corner infielders.
Jack Schneider (3B/RHP Daviess County HS, Class of 2017) established himself as a high-level prospect in the 2017 class with 83 mph arm strength across the infield, a 6.95 60 time, and solid round of batting practice in which he showed the ability to consistently square up the baseball.
Ryan HInkley (3B, Glasgow HS, Class of 2014) continues to show that he can hit the baseball with an impressive round of batting practice in which he sprayed line drives all over the field.
The following is a look at all of the corner infielders in attendance at the Western KY Prospect ID Showcase.
Jack Schneider, 3B/RHP, Daviess County HS, 2017
6-foot-2, 163-pound, young prospect with big potential, shows good lateral movement, has room for improved footwork and hands, good body control, strong/accurate arm at 83 mph across the infield. At the plate, hits from a balanced setup, smooth load, leg kick trigger, good use of lower half creates good bat speed through the zone, shows pull power, good rhythm in swing, impressive round of BP squaring up the ball consistently, big potential on mound which will be featured in pitcher evaluations, ran 6.95 60 yard dash, 84 mph tee exit velocity, high-level 2017 prospect.
Ryan HInkley, 3B, Glasgow HS, 2014
6-foot, 185-pound, solidly built prospect. Has improved every measurable since we first saw him in January, hands work, 73 mph arm across the infield. At the plate, hits from balanced setup, short stride, good use of lower half creates bat speed though the zone, fluid rhythm in swing, had a very impressive round of BP consistently squaring up the baseball, hard line drives to all fields, has shown to be a solid hitter at each event, ran 7.33 60 yard dash.
JJ Poole, 1B/RHP, Daviess County HS, 2014
6-foot-5, 221-pound prospect, fields ball deep, shows some athleticism around the bag, 75 mph arm across infield. At the plate, hits from a wide setup, no stride, short path to the ball, squared some pitches up, shows some pull power, can incorporate more consistent lower half torque in swing, ran 7.83 60 yard dash, 83 mph tee exit velocity, also pitches which will be featured in pitcher evaluations.
Easton McGee, RHP/1B, Hopkinsville HS, 2016
6-foot-5, 170-pound prospect, long and lanky build, shows soft hands, 75 mph across the infield. At the plate, hits from a balances setup, short stride, arm bar in load, ran 7.72 60 yard dash, 83 mph tee exit velocity, big time potential on the mound will be featured in pitcher evaluations.
Andrew Decker, RHP/3B, Edmonson County HS, 2015
5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect, showed an accurate arm across the infield at 72 mph, quick exchange, gets rid of ball quickly with short arm action. At the plate, hits from a balanced setup, short stride, wraps some in load, long swing path, ran 7.75 60 yard dash, 75 mph tee exit velocity, also pitches which will be featured in pitcher evaluations.
Nolan Johnson, LHP/1B, Daviess County HS, 2017
5-foot-8, 105-pound prospect, shows good actions around the bag, 70 mph arm across the infield. At the plate, hits from slightly closed setup, smooth load, short stride, wraps some in load, showed barrel awareness squaring some pitches up, will continue to develop game as he gets stronger, also pitches which will be featured in pitching evaluations.
Isaac Gough, 3B, Owensboro Catholic HS, 2014
6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect with athletic frame, room to improve footwork and hands, arm strength at 71 mph across the infield. Offensively, hits from a wide setup, no stride, wraps some in load, long swing path, ran 7.40 60 yard dash, 76 mph tee exit velocity.
Chance Rogers, 3B, Bryan Station HS, 2014
6-foot, 155-pound prospect, room to improve footwork and hands, slow exchange, long arm action at 72 mph across the infield. At the plate, hits from tall setup, wraps in load, gets some lower half involved in swing, ran 7.62 60 yard dash, 75 mph tee exit velocity.
