The beginning of 2022 meant it was time for the Prep Baseball Report Scout Days to come into full action and that was the case once again this year.
Organizations throughout Ohio have been on display for nearly two months now as players not only hope to gain more exposure in their quest to be seen by college coaches, but also get a glimpse at their numbers to see what kind of progress has been made in the offseason.
Members of organizations in the state, from head coaches to director of player development, have been contacted and given the opportunity to provide a view of what stood out at their PBR Scout Days.
Over the next few weeks, PBR will publish a report on each of the Scout Days that have been submitted from organizations across Ohio.

2022 Organizational Spotlight: CBC Marucci
Cary Daniel talks with us about the organization.
1) How do you feel the showcase went?
Daniel: I believe this showcase went really well. The facility was really nice and, as always, the staff ran things very effectively.
2) Who are some of the prospects that stood out to you?
- 2023 RHP Corbin Ausman (Badin)
- 2023 OF Conlan Daniel (Moeller)
- 2023 MIF Avery Hare (Christian Academy)
- 2024 RHP Jayce Parsons (Deer Park)
- 2023 RHP Jared Kraus (7 Hills)
3) Any performances worth mentioning?
- Conlan Daniel really stood out, running a 6.6 60, throwing 91 mph from the outfield and 87 mph on the mound. He really made a jump and helped his stock.
- Corbin Ausman was really exciting to see. His physical stature and his delivery were highly impressive. I believe he is going to make another jump soon and raise his velo more but he is really nasty on the mound!
4) In looking at summer, touch on some highlights that are ahead and what you expect.
Daniel: Our 17U National team and our Regional teams will be competing in some highly-rated events. We will be in WWBA, Marucci World Series, Grand Park, Nashville and so many other great events. We are excited to launch CBC Marucci Blackhawks (NC). We have three high school teams in North Carolina starting this summer and we look forward to their impact on our program. As always, we expect to help every player on our team reach their goals to play college baseball.
5) Are you registered for any PBR tournaments and, if so, which ones and what are your thoughts on them?
Daniel: We are registered for several events that will be scouted by PBR. I believe the coverage and marketing that is provided by PBR has helped our players 100 percent on their recruiting journeys.
