KS Diamond Notes: Week 4

Each week, KSHSAA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the PBR Kansas Player and Pitcher of the Week. While we can only pick one of each, there are always a number of other impressive performances that were in the mix for the award and deserve recognition. Here’s a look at some of the most notable from the week four (April 8th-14th).
Peyton White 3B / 1B / Andover , KS / 2024Rankings StateRank: 65 / POS: 4
White got it done on both sides of the ball for the Trojans, logging 4 doubles on the week and coming up just one out shy of a perfect game on the mound, picking up the win.

Karston Wall SS / RHP / Sedgwick, KS / 2025Rankings StateRank: 64 / POS: 11
Wall is having one of the loudest springs in the entire state and last week was no different. The right-handed hitter batted .833 Avg, 10 Hits, 11 RBI, through four games. He also went 3.2 innings with 8 Ks on the mound.

James Hunt RHP / OF / Blue Valley West, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 6
One of the top sophomore arms in the state, Hunt twirled five shutout innings allowing just two hits last week.

Deacon Pomeroy C / 3B / Shawnee Heights, KS / 2025Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
The Oklahoma State commit did it with the bat and on the bump last week. Offensively, the right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 with a triple. On the mound, he tossed a complete game last week allowing just one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine.

Cooper Greene / Bishop Miege, KS / 2024Part of the explosive Bishop Miege offense last week, Greene went 7-for-13 with three home runs and seven RBIs last week.

Luke Nelson 3B / 1B / Bishop Miege, KS / 2026The third head of the monster offensive week put up by Bishop Miege, Nelson went 7-for-10, with four home runs, 10 RBIs and 2 walks.

Corey Crumrine RHP / SS / Sedgwick, KS / 2025Crumrine had a very impressive week on both sides of the ball for Sedgwick. In for games, the right-hdander tossed eight innings, punching out 13 while not alling a walk or earned run. With the bat, the right handed-hitter batted..636 with seven hits and 10 runs scored.
