Biggest Risers
Brayden Shannon SS / 3B / Blue Valley Southwest, KS / 2027Shannon has started to come into his own this summer and shows no signs of slowing down. With loud tools in every aspect of the game, Shannon turned heads at the Heart of America Summer ID in July, posting a 6.47 60 to go along with a 93 mph exit velocity and 85 mph infield velocity. The name-to-know prospect is up 5 spots in this update. |
Carson Douglass RHP / OF / Eisenhower, KS / 2027Featuring a 6-foot-2, 169-pound frame with plenty of upside, Douglass is up 8 spots in this update after a strong summer on the mound. The righty ran his fastball up to 84 mph across several looks this summer, keeping hitters off balance with a sharp 2,600+ spin curveball that he landed for strikes in any count. Look for Douglass to continue to rise in the rankings as he adds strength and polish. |
Wyatt Fulfer OF / LHP / Bishop Carroll, KS / 2027Up 9 spots since the last update, Fulfer is a two-way prospect to keep an eye on in this class. Continuing to find his stride on the mound, Fulfer was up to 84 mph with his fastball recently at the Kansas Fall Kickoff and landed a low-70s breaking ball for strikes. At the plate he continues to add polish to his quick, compact left-handed swing with more to come. |
Hudson Hardesty 1B / LHP / Lawrence, KS / 2027Hardesty sees his name jump 6 spots into the top 30 in this ranking. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound lefty has seen jumps in his metrics across the board on both sides of the ball, wrapping up the summer with a dominant performance on the mound at the Super Sophomore games where he pounded the zone with a three pitch mix. With a high-wasted, developing frame; there is plenty more to come. |
Newcomers
Ty Schmeidler OF / LHP / Thomas More Prep-Marian, KS / 2027The Western Kansas prospect burst onto the scene at this year's Super Sophomore games. A legitimate two-way prospect, Schmeidler shines brightest on the mound. The left-hander fills up the zone with an upper 80s fastball that jumps on hitters and pairs it with a slurvy breaking ball. Offensively, the left-handed hitter proved he could consistently barrel some of the top pitchers in the region, leaving the Super Sophomore games with 6 hits in three games. |
Maddox Drumright C / RHP / Wichita Collegiate, KS / 2027The Wichita product is one of the top defensive backstops in the region with the ability to handle the top arms in the class and control the run game. Offensively, the right handed hitter shows barrel control and feel for the zone, making him difficult to punch out. No where close to physically developed yet, Drumright has a game polished beyond his years and could make huge jumps with the addition of size and strength. |
Aaron Topham OF / 3B / Goddard, KS / 2027The 6-foot, 180-pound outfielder showed some impressive tools in every facet of his game at the Wichita Summer Open. A 6.91 60, 86 outfield velo, 90 max exit velo, and 82 mph bat speed make him a high follow prospect. |
Mason Collins SS / RHP / Burlington, KS / 2027An exciting two-way prospect with upside on both sides of the ball, Collins is a must follow player. Collins produced one of the loudest rounds of BP at the Royals Scout Day from the right side. Defensively, Collins moves well and shows advanced arm strength across the diamond. Possibly most impressive was his performance on the mound where he ran his fastball into the mid 80s and showed real feel to land his changeup and curveball. |
Isaac Holt OF / 1B / Andover, KS / 2027At 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, Holt oozes projection. The right-handed hitter used his long levers to loft balls from gap-to-gap with exit velos up to 92. Holt also ripped off a 7.0 60 and an 81 mph outfield velo with carry making him a prospect to follow closely. |
Jake Bartley 1B / OF / Abilene, KS / 2027Bartley jumped onto the scene recently at the Kansas Fall Kickoff where he produced one of the best rounds of BP. The left-handed hitter shows a polished swing and found consistent barrels with a top exit velo of 93 and a more impressive average exit velo of 84. Defensively, Bartley looks just as comfortable as first base as he does in the outfield. Bartley also shows off his athleticism by jumping on the mound and showing pitchability. |
