Kansas Class of 2025 Rankings Update: Fall Edition

Andy Urban
Central Region & Prep Baseball Tournaments KC Scouting Director

As the fall draws to a close and the grind of the winter training season begins, the Prep Baseball Kansas staff has once again updated the state’s 2025 rankings. We have a conservative update after our fall showcase and tournament season.

Notable changes to this rankings include OF Carson Umphres (Great Bend; Northeast Texas CC commit) rising nearly 10 spots after an impressive MOKAN Fall ID where he showed much improved swing mechanics and added size.

C Riley Williams (Gardner-Edgerton) and CIF Liam Funk (Olathe Northwest) also jump 10+ spots after impressive showings with the bat and defensively at the Cavalier Baseball Club Scout day.

RHP Brandon Brown (Mill Valley) enters the rankings for the first time and is a name to watch. Many seniors have limited projection remaining, but Brown is an exception to that rule. The slider-heavy right-hander has tons of room to add size and a clean and loose 3/4 arm that could make huge velo jumps in the near future.

The Top 10

The top 10 remains intact without change as many of the top performers in the state had limited fall reps as they train and recover for their all important senior campaign.
