JUCO Uncommitted Spotlights: Allen CC

With NJCAA postseason play well underway, we take a look at a couple of name-to-know uncommitted players from Allen Community College.

Armando Navarro

Redshirt Sophomore 1B Armando Navarro was a power bat standout at our Allen Scout Day last fall. At the plate, the 6-foot-3, 240-pound righty put together a loud round of BP, posting one of the top exit velocities of the day with a 102.4 mph mark while sending his furthest ball 393 feet. Navarro performed well in the field as well, firing a 89 mph bullet across the infield from first base while showing strong footwork around the bag and also running a 6.88 60. This past spring, Navarro put together a strong season at the plate, collecting 33 hits in 116 at bats (.284 average) with 11 of those being of the extra base variety. Additionally, the redshirt sophomore drove in 23 runs and posted a .966 fielding percentage at first.
