As the year starts to unwind, our staff will start to highlight the top-10 most viewed profiles from 2020 - starting at 10 and counting down.

Today, we’ll highlight Paola RHP Caden Marcum, the No. 1 overall recruit in the state’s 2022 class and one of the top prospects in the country, ranking No. 18 nationally. A lanky, projectable 6-foot-5, 155-pound athlete, Marcum popped in a big way this summer and into part of the fall, sitting 88-90, touching 92 mph with his fastball. He pairs that lively heater with an above-average curveball that’s flashed swing-and-miss potential.

Marcum’s noticeable upside on the mound is what makes him so coveted as a prospect. He’s committed to Tennessee and the Volunteers will certainly be eager to add him to their staff - although he may garner some serious draft interest around this time next year.
