At the PBR Future Games in 2014, Wentz flashed intriguing two-way ability with his imposing size on the mound and raw power at the plate. He showed off that power in batting practices at some of the summer’s big events last year, but didn’t get on the mound. Wentz will work out at both positions at the Super 60. He has upside on the mound, standing at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds and running his fastball up to 90 mph. He also mixes in a 1/7 curveball in the low 70s. At the plate, Wentz has an easy swing and the ball jumps off his bat. At the Under Armour Game BP in August, he looked like a big leaguer getting his cuts in.
