PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Cairns: I want to pursue career in Law or criminal justice, I want to hopefully own my own practice one day. I am enrolled in a law class at CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies).

PBR: How did you do your sophomore and junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for your team in 2016.

Cairns: My sophomore year I played on JV and had a very successful year. Also the summer of my Junior Year I made the Midwest Team USA and went to Cary, NC to play baseball representing the Midwest.   My Junior High school season I had  a slow start and low stats at the plate but my shortstop play helped our team win the State Championship 5A Kansas. I started every game up to the State Championship game at shortstop.  I also played some third and second being a utility player during pitching rotations.   For 2016 Collin Gallery, Collin Doerr, Alex Bartlett and myself will lead our senior class and help develop the juniors on our way back to defend our State Baseball title.

PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

Cairns: I am currently planning to play 3 sports this Year.  Football, where I play WR and currently lead the team in touchdowns. Basketball where I will play Point guard and I will lead our team to State.  Finally, I want to lead our baseball team back to the State Championship game and repeat as State Champions.  One of my main goals is to lead my teammates and show them hard work on and off the field builds skills and gets results.
