Player Spotlight: C/3B Jacob Kindhart (St. James, 2019)
June 14, 2018
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Kindhart: I am looking for a school with a successful Actuarial Science program or something along the lines of statistics and mathematics. I also want to attend a school within about 300 miles of home in Kansas City.
PBR: How did you do your sophomore year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?
Kindhart: My sophomore year I was a back up catcher on varsity so I didn’t see the field a whole lot. Over the summer after my sophomore year playing 18u I hit .441 with only 3 strikeouts on the season and led the team with 17 RBIs.
PBR: What are you goals for your junior/senior season?
Kindhart: At the end of each year our high school coach gives out an award for the most hustle on the team, which I won my junior year, and it’s always my goal to work harder and hustle out everyone else because in baseball there are only a few things you can control and hustle is one of them.
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?
Kindhart: I play for the Kansas Mudcats, and I am planning on playing fall ball.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Kindhart: Not currently, I wrestled my first two years of high school.
PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?
Kindhart: 28 ACT and 3.9 GPA, I will be taking the ACT again this June.
