As we prepare for the most important summer of all time for amateur baseball, PBR KS takes a deeper look into the latest 125 player rankings release for the 2022 class. If you missed the release story for the class, you can find it here. Today, we will highlight the top 5 uncommitted arms in the state according to the rankings with full PBR profiles.
SCOUTING REPORT
Positional Profile: RHP Athletic right-hander with easy velocity and feel for an advanced changeup. Also shows pop at the plate from the right-side.
Body: 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. Impressive, strong frame.
Defense: pop times. Works through the ball with athleticism. Confident actions in the field.
Arm: Right-handed. OF - 90 mph. Explosive arm strength. Some length in the back.
Hit: Right-handed. Bats from an open and wide set-up. Uses a short load and stride before launching his hands with advanced bat speed through a level path through extension.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. Big time pop. Consistent line drives. Showed power, especially to the pull side gap.
Run: 4.55 runner home-to-first.
Delivery: Feet start balanced towards middle of rubber, side step initiates tall/fall type delivery, athletic balance point, works closed off from target, lands square, throws with little effort, tempo on the bump.
Arm Action: Right-handed. Short arm action, quick draw, high 3/4 slot, fast out front.
FB: T88, 85-87 mph. Two-seam type, plays towards arm-side of the plate, easy velocity with much more in the tank.
CH: 79-80 mph. Feel, works down in the zone, natural sinking action.
