Colorado Fall Prospect Games Corner Infield Analysis
Lucas Ericson RHP / 1B / Legend, CO / 20206-foot-1, 165-pound RHP/1B who ran a 7.75 60. Left hand hitter with a high leg trigger and slow load on the back side. Hands come through uphill and ball has good flight. Strong leg drive at contact. Exit velocity was 72 mph. Defensively he showed good feet and awareness around the bag. Arm was over the top with accuracy. Arm played at 68 mph.

Dash Goldston 3B / RHP / Blue Valley Northwest, KS / 20206-foot-1, 185-pound 3B/RHP who ran a 7.97 60. Balanced at the plate with a long slow load to the back side. Hands and lower half fire through the zone. Swing is level with good extension out front. Pull side power. Exit velocity was 80 mph. Defensively he is fundamentally sound. Hands and glove work well with a quick transfer. Arm is accurate and played at 73 mph. On the mound uses a tall and fall approach. Coils on his balance and lands square to the plate. Arm is over the top and speed stays consistent on all pitches. Fastball sat 80 mph with location in and out. Curve was 66-68 mph with sweeping 11/5 break.

David Good RHP / 3B / Marble, CO / 20225-foot-10, 135-pound RHP/3B. Balanced right hand hitter at the plate. Uses a quick stride and load on the pitch. Swing path is slightly uphill and favors the pull side. Power will increase with age. Exit velocity was 73 mph. In the field he moves well to his back hand side. Uses quick feet to square up on the ball. Arm is long and over the top and played at 73 mph. On the mound he has a slow lift to balance and swings his front side open on delivery. Arm wraps a bit out of the glove and come through at a high ¾ slot. Fastball was 68-70 mph and straight in the zone. Curve sat 55-56 mph with sweeping 11/5 break.

Blake Goodman 3B / Legend, CO / 20205-foot-7, 130-pound 3B/2B who ran a 7.05 60. Right-handed hitter, open stance, loads hands back into short stride that gets to even, maintains balance. Showed hard contact and feel for barrel in BP, path works uphill, strong gap to gap contact. 75 mph exit velocity from the tee. Hands played soft, natural defender, athletic actions. Arm played at 70 mph.

Ethan Jones 1B / RHP / Natrona County High School, WY / 20216-foot-3, 200-pound 1B/RHP who ran a 7.59 60. Stands tall at the plate with a high leg kick and long stride. Hands drop on the swing and path is uphill. Weight rotates through the zone at contact. Exit velocity was 71 mph. Good footwork around the bag, arm is short to second base and over the top across the diamond. Arm was accurate at 57 mph. Tall and fall motion on the mound. Lands in-line with the plate and stays square on delivery. Arm is over the top, fastball was 61-63 mph with location down. Curve sat 55-57 mph with slurve type break away in the zone.

Zach Lingk RHP / 1B / Ralston Valley , CO / 20196-foot-5, 190-pound RHP/1B who ran a showcase best 7.04 60. Wide balanced set up at the plate. Big leg trigger to start swing. Repeatable actions with an uphill path to the ball. Showed good gap power. Exit velocity was a show case best 92 mph. Good presence in the field. Moves well around the bag with a quick glove to hand transfer on throws to second. Arm was 75 mph with accuracy. Tall on the mound with a drop and drive motion, arm drags behind at times. As he continues to put it together with extension out front, the ball will jump on the hitter. Fastball was 77- 80 mph with run. Curve sat 70-71 mph with tight spin and 11/5 break.

Jordan Meraz 3B / SS / Glenwood Springs HIgh School, CO / 20225-foot-8, 145-pound 3B/SS. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short toe tap stride. Simple swing, hands work direct to the baseball, flashed easy pop, loose hands. 67 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm action is long from a high ¾ slot, 69 mph across the diamond. Simple set up on the mound. Solid balance and a slight drop and drive to the plate. Lands in-line and stays square through delivery. Arm is over the top and fastball sat 70-72 mph. Curve had 11/5 shape and was 58-60 mph.

Maxwell Randis 1B / RHP / Lewis-Palmer, CO / 20225-foot-10, 165-pound 1B/RHP who ran a 7.89 60. Closed stance with a long stride on the pitch. Weight pushes forward on the swing and hands come through up hill. Good extension out front and ball carries well in the gap. 78 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively he is sound with good feet and a quick glove to hand transfer. Arm is high ¾ and accurate. Arm played at 78 mph. Simple set up on the mound. Balances well and drive to the plate. Arm is high ¾ and a few times over the top. Good lower leg drive and arm extension on the pitch. Fastball was 71-72 mph with late run. Curve flashed tight spin and 11/5 break at 58-60 mph.

Colton Widler 3B / RHP / University High School, CO / 20196-foot, 180-pound 3B/RHP who ran a 7.80 60. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, loads hands back, short stride, maintains balance. Path has some length and gets extension through contact, slight uphill path, made line drive gap to gap contact. 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed athletic actions, played through the baseball with above average hands at his age. Clean exchange, arm is loose, over the top and 74 mph across the diamond. Polished on the mound with good rhythm and balance. Drives hard to the plate and delivers from an over the top slot. Fastball had good command and late run and sat 77-79 mph. Curve had tight spin and 12/6 break and was 64-66 mph.
