KEY NEWS/STAT: 

  • Senior catcher TJ Martin is 40 hits away from breaking the Kansas high school career hits record. 
  • Next weekend Martin will join other top seniors from the Midwest at the Prep Baseball Report Super 60 Pro Showcase in Chicago - the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential MLB draft picks in the Midwest

OUTLOOK:  

Coach Sabath’s Timberwolves lost several key seniors from their 2013 state championship qualifying team.  This spring they will be lead by Kansas-signee senior catcher TJ Martin.  In addition, they will need their talented junior class to step up in order to make another state championship run, namely Arkansas-commit right-handed pitcher Brendan Stanek and speedy infielder Blake Shinkle.
