Our 2026 rankings have been updated after a busy summer, with the list expanded to 225, and several players at/near the top receiving attention from Division I programs from across the country.

Impact bats and middle of the diamond athletes are prevelant amongst the top 12 uncommitted options at the moment, read along to learn more about those players, with a positional breakdown to follow.

Top-Ranked Uncommitted Bats

Rob Czarniecki OF / Chesterton, IN / 2026

+ Czarniecki jumps to No. 1 after stealing the show at the Prep Baseball Future Games and walking away with MVP honors. The physical, right-handed hitting CF owns five tool upside, with a strong track record of in-game production, to go along with the mental makeup required to play this game at a high level. The toolset he offers is outstanding, highlighted by a 6.6 60-yard dash, exit velocities that routinely eclipse 100 mph, and plus arm strength that is a weapon in CF. Czarniecki was one of only two sophomores to earn 4A First Team All-State honors in 2024, clubbing 7 homers with 10 doubles, 5 triples, along with maintaining a .489 batting average and a 1.540 OPS. While the tools and in-game statistics speak for themselves, the leadership and infectious energy that Rob brings to a dugout seperates him from the other talented prospects on this list and allows for an ultra-high floor with a ceiling that still remains uncapped.

Dylan Bowen SS / Hanover Central, IN / 2026

+ Bowen is another high floor bat with a history of in-game production. The 6-foot, 185 pound shortstop offers game-changing athleticism with a strong toolset that only adds to the "gamer" tag that he has earned. His 6.6 speed shows up on the bases and in the dirt, and he will be able to remain on the left-side, firing balls across the diamond up to 93 mph. While the bat-to-ball + foot speed profiles best at the top of the order, Bowen shows sneaky gap power that will only elevate as he continues to add strength to his athletic frame. A dual-sport standout that plays with a quiet, confident swagger - Bowen is one of the highest rated shortstops to come out of Indiana in quite some time and shows all the makings of an immediate impact player to whatever program lands this five star recruit.

Sean Dunlap C / Crown Point, IN / 2026

+ Dunlap's rise to fame has been well-documented by our staff - a pro-bodied backstop that shined at the Prep Baseball Future Games and has catupluted himself into conversations as one of the top '26 catchers in the country. The catch-and-throw abilities are elite, firing 82 mph bullets from the crouch with pop times in the low-1.8's in a showcase setting. These abilities were on full display across an array of summer looks as he is unafraid to show it off and looks for outs. Dunlap is a quality receiver, as well, with instincts present behind the dish. Offensively - the 6-foot-3, 205 pounder offers premier raw power with exit velocities nearing 103 mph. There is immense bat speed in the rotational operation, and he shows the ability to shorten late in-counts to create production. Dunlap is arguably the best backstop to come out of Indiana in the last decade and will represent Indiana at the Prep Baseball All-American Game later this month.

Desmond Francis OF / Park Tudor, IN / 2026

+ A huge winner from the Prep Baseball Future Games and one of the best natural athletes on this list, Desmond profiles as a next-level CF with plus-plus foot speed, burning 60's as low as 6.40 already. The bat took a step up in his sophomore campaign, beginning with a strong spring for Park Tudor, and culminating in a breakout performance in Atlanta - where he was one of the more impactful bats within a loaded Team Indiana lineup. His swing is very simple - using a small leg lift stride with minimal head movement to allow for repeatability. There is much more impact in the swing than the 5-foot-9 frame suggests, mainly stemming from the twitchy hacks that he gets off.

Jake Winger 3B / McCutcheon, IN / 2026

+ Winger is a high-ceiling bat that performed well across a variety of looks in 2024. He began the year by showing off strength gains at the Preseason All-State, foreshadowing a big spring that landed him on the 4A All-State team, one of only two sophomores to earn that honor. The 6-foot-5 run producer hit again & again throughout the summer circuit, before a solid Future Games performance, highlighted by one of the best showcase perfromances of any Team Indiana bat. Winger top-spins homers in batting practice with a long-levered, upward stroke, and there remains more power potential with refinements to the path. A 6.9 60-yard dash speaks to his athleticism, and he has the ability to play all four corner spots, with arm strength that translates to a fastball that has reached 89 on the bump.

Lannon Nicoloff SS / William Henry Harrison High School, IN / 2026

+ The No. 2 ranked SS in the class - Nicoloff enjoyed a breakout sophomore season with strong performances throughout the spring and summer. A consistent gamer that plays with a high motor, Nicoloff's carrying attributes include his defensive abilities and bat to ball skills. The 6-foot, 180 pounder should be able to stick at short in the long run, playing with a sure-handed feel and athletic pace while firing the ball across in the upper-80's. Offensively - Nicoloff is a 2-hole type bat hitting from both sides of the dish, with the left side more advanced at the moment. Bat to ball shows again & again, stemming from quality hand eye and a left-handed path that optimizes line drive contact from gap to gap.

Beckett Suh SS / University, IN / 2026

+ Suh made serious headway with our staff throughout the summer of 2024 - showing off a silky swing on a consistent basis to pair with obvious feel between the lines. The 5-foot-11, 175 pound infielder dazzled at our Top Prospect Games, clubbing homers from both sides in batting practice before collecting multiple extra base hits in gameplay. We saw much of the same following Suh throughout the summer circuit, and he declared his presence at the Future Games with two loud barrels in his first two trips, including a no-doubt grand slam in game one. The bat is the calling card, showing present gap power from both sides of the dish with an advanced approach and above average barrel feel. Suh likely profiles as a bat-first 2B, but his hands are extremely reliable on the dirt and his arm works with accuracy.

Reed Robinson C / New Prairie, IN / 2026

+ Robinson is a reliable run producer that hangs his hat on his abilities in the batter's box. The switch-hitting backstop delievers one of the heavier barrels in the class, presetting his hands at launch with an aggressive forward move that helps him create significant bat speed, yet remain in control with a consistent spot to launch from with his upper body. Robinson produces near 100 mph exit velocities, and is also an above average runner (6.91) that can play in the corner outfield at an above average clip. Behind the dish, Robinson is an above average defender with serviceable catch and throw abilities and obvious leadership qualities. The 5-foot-9, 185 pound frame is packed with strength, and he plays with a high motor at all times.

Eli Sinsabaugh SS / Cathedral, IN / 2026

+ Sinsabaugh is a unique athlete, boasting a 5-foot-9 frame that is packed full of twitch. He turned in double-plus run times throughout an array of looks in the 2024 season, highlighted by a 6.25 60-yard dash and numerous home-to-first times in the 4.1's. Sinsabaugh fits the mold of a leadoff spark-plug, showing low swing-and-miss rates on the summer circuit and at the Future Games with a flat bat path and more pull-side approach, and his feet are a weapon on the bases. Defensively, his above average arm strength across and bouncy feet are both attributes to help him range in the middle of the diamond, and he has shown the versatility to slide out to CF at times.

Colt DeHart OF / Indian Creek Sr High School, IN / 2026

+ An upside left-handed hitter to dream on, Dehart shows several qualities indicative of future development, beginning with a lanky, athletic, 6-foot-2 frame. The left-handed stroke works with fluidity in an upward fashion to hint at power potential as he adds strength/mass to his projectable frame. Dehart has turned in above average straight-line times (6.85 60) along with above average arm strength that allows him to double as an interesting prospect on the mound, as well.

Ian Taylor OF / St. Theodore Guerin, IN / 2026

+ Taylor received a Future Games invite, but unfortunately was sidelined due to injury a few weeks before the event. Regardless, Taylor is one of the toolsiest position players of the group with a solid track record of in-game success. The athletic, 5-foot-10, 180 pound frame holds ample twitch that is evident in the batter's box, where he gets off aggressive, well-sequenced hacks with exit velocities reaching 102-plus. Taylor can really rotate, generating some of the best bat speeds in the class, and helping him reach 90 mph from the outfield. His foot speed is well above average (6.79) and allows him to stretch extra bases, while keeping long-term CF hopes alive.

Gavin Jackson 3B / Our Lady of Providence, IN / 2026

+ One of the more reliable in-game hitters in the class, Jackson sees a moderate jump in this update, now ranked as a top 30 player in the class. The stocky, 6-foot, 200 pound RHH boasts one of the more mechanically sound swings of the group, generating plus bat speed with an efficient lower half and a loose-wristed swing that works on-plane. Jackson swings an accurate barrel with plenty of strength behind it reaching a peak exit velocity of 101 mph.
