Top Prospect Games : Talent left on the Board + Workout Winners

Our Top Prospect Games took place in late-June, during the midst of a busy recruiting season, where a strong collection of colleges coaches traveled to Grand Park to see some of the top uncommitted players from the state of Indiana. We have seen a handful of participants make college commitments in the month since the games, with the following players already off the board :

25 Hitters
- OF Reed Hayes
- Hayes shines in a pro-style workout with offensive metrics that jump off the page. 107 mph exit velocity (1st at event), 93.8 mph average exit velocity (T 1st), 393' max distance (2nd), 83.2 mph avg bat speed (1st), 25 mph hand speed (6th) - to go along with 91 mph outfield velocity (2nd), a 6.97 60 that scores above average, and the best speed/power score of the day.
- C Caiden Verrett
- Verrett is a strong, athletic backstop that scored highly in the catch & throw metrics. Verrett claimed a top-3 finish in both defensive categories for catchers at the event, taking first in both within his grad year, with a 1.88 pop time and 80 mph arm from the crouch. His 6.72 60-yard dash was the 6th highest of the day, and the fastest by a '25 catcher by a significant margin. He scored well above average in bat speed (14th overall), speed/power score (20th), and above average in every category he qualified for.
- OF Connor Osborne
- Osborne is another player with a well-rounded toolset that scored highly across the board. 99.4 mph exit velocity (6th), 91.8 mph average exit velocity (5th), 395' max distance (1st), 81.5 mph bat speed (3rd), while scoring highly in all other Blast Motion metrics. Osborne finished tied for 3rd in outfield velocity (90 mph) & 10th in the 60-yard dash (6.84).
25 Pitchers
- LHP Colton Rerick
- Rerick grabbed the best fastball velocity of any left-handed pitcher of the event (88 mph) good for 5th overall. His fastball scored above average in all areas, highlighted by solid carry (16.4" avg IVB) and above average raw spin. His curveball scored as one of the best pitches of the day, tightly-spun (2419 avg), with the 5th highest CB velocity of the day (75 mph), and 20" of total break, on average, reaching 27". His changeup also scored highly due to his ability to kill spin on the pitch, while finishing 10th in CH avg horizontal break (-15"), and generating a 10" difference in IVB compared to his fastball.
- RHP Braden Perry
- While his fastball only reached 85 mph - a score just above average, he had the highest-spin heater of the event (2491 avg). Perry finds himself on this list for one main reason - his ability to spin. His 75-78 mph slider spun at 2749 on average (1st), with true sweeper shape and the most horizontal break of any slider of the day (16.6") besting second place by half a foot. Perry also showed the highest-spin curveball, a two-plane offering that averaged over 20" of total break.
26 Hitters
- C Sean Dunlap
- Dunlap finished near the top of virtually every category that he qualified for - beginning with top of the class catch & throw metrics, gunning 82 mph from the crouch with pop times as low as 1.79, both event-bests. He also added a 103 mph exit velocity, good for 2nd overall and the best in his grad class, along with tying for the event-best in average exit velocity (93.8 mph). Dunlap also led the '26 grads in max distance (367'), speed/power score, and was third in average bat speed.
- OF Hudson Stewart
- Stewart placed near the top of all '26 grads in every batted ball category with a 96.3 mph exit velocity (8th), averaging 88.3 (6th), and a max distance of 358' (5th). Placing above average in every other category kept his overall score high, a few to note - 7.01 60-yard dash (13th), 6th in speed/power score, t-2nd in outfield velocity (84 mph), 9th in average bat speed, & 12th in on-plane efficiency.
- SS Nolan Ratcliff
- Ratcliff took home the 2nd best 60-yard dash of the day, blazing a 6.58, and took second in the speed/power score amongst '26s. He also collected second amongst '26 infielders in infield velocity (88 mph). His batted ball and Blast Motion metrics were not as loud as three above, but all placed above average other than one category.
26 Pitchers
- RHP Gavin Lykins
- Lykins scored the highest of any '26 arm at the event - due in large part to outstanding fastball properties. Lykins placed 2nd overall, and first in his grad class, in fastball velocity (89 mph), also placing highly amongst his peers in fastball spin (3rd), avg IVB (4th), and horizontal break (2nd). To make things clearer - Lykins offers a firm fastball, that is tightly-spun, with outstanding movement plots - with his ride/run heater generating over 30" of total break, on average. His slider scored above average in all categories, as well.
- LHP Troy Barrett
- Although Barrett's low-to-mid 80's fastball does not jump off the page from a velocity perspective - it scored highly due to very solid movement plots. Barrett placed (7th) in avg IVB amongst his peers, (3rd) in horizontal break, and it was the firmest fastball that any '26 LHP in attendance had to offer. His spin metrics were very solid, as well, taking (4th) in average slider spin, (2nd) in sweep - while taking (7th) in curveball spin, (2nd) in curveball sweep, and (6th) in curveball depth. His changeup scored as one of the better changeup's at the event, as he took (6th) amongst his peers in horizontal break in that category, showing the ability to kill spin on it, and showing a near 10" difference between fastball and changeup IVB.
