Now that we have finished the fall season, we are beginning to go in-depth on the top uncommitted talent in the class, breaking them down by position. Today - we look at the top ten uncommitted shortstops in Indiana's 2025 class. 

Joe Washburn SS / 2B / Saint Joseph, IN / 2025 Washburn provides a spark atop every lineup he steps into. An undersized, gamer-type standing at 5-foot-8, 160 pounds - the left-handed hitting middle infielder has a short, simple swing with loads of barrel accuracy. Adding to the profile, Washburn provides the ability to put pressure on the defense with his feet. A 6.75 runner at the PBR Future Games - Washburn has turned in H - 1st times in the high 4.1s & is also a base-stealing threat. The quick-footed infielder can really cover ground in the middle of the diamond and offers above average arm strength (86 INF Velo) across the infield.

Trevor Corbett SS / OF / Noblesville , IN / 2025 The hit-tool stands out for the 6-foot, 185 pounder and Corbett has built a reputation as one of the better in-game hitters in Indiana's '25 class. Corbett has produced against quality arms dating back to his freshman season at Noblesville. The right-handed hitter boasts a career .368 average in the HCC with a 2:1 BB/K ratio (48 BB | 24 K). The bat-to-ball skills come from a simple & efficient lower-half, along with an accurate barrel that turns connected with the back shoulder. Corbett possesses solid bat speed that allows for some impact, producing an exit velocity in the mid-90s. A 7.11 runner, Corbett fits the mold of an offensive-oriented 2B at the next level, with enough arm strength (91 mph across the diamond) to project him as a possible 3B or corner outfielder.

Luke Neiswonger SS / RHP / Homestead HighSchool, IN / 2025 A durable, 6-foot-2, 200 pound two-way prospect - Neiswonger has garnered plenty of interest after a strong fall, shooting his way up the 2025 rankings list. The physical infielder offers present above average bat speed that translates to barrel strength & pull-side power within a simple, well-sequenced swing. Neiswonger shows fundamental actions in the dirt with enough arm strength to stick on the left-side. The arm strength translates to the mound, where the fastball sits in the mid-80s, touching 89 mph. Neiswonger has slightly above average command for a three-pitch mix - flashing a faded change at 75-78 mph and slurvey breaking ball in the low-70s. Neiswonger is able to get swing-and-miss on the fastball over the plate and is also able to get chase on the breaking ball late in-counts.

Jordan Williamson SS / 2B / Pendleton heights high school , IN / 2025 A long-limbed, athletic infielder that has been trending upwards. The 6-foot-1, 170 pounder performed well in front of our staff on multiple occasions throughout the 2023 season and his projectable frame suggests his best baseball is still yet to be played. A 6.81 runner - Williamson moves around the diamond with fluid & athletic movement patterns. On the dirt, Williamson shows long-term SS traits with fluid actions and he carries the baseball across the diamond with above average arm strength. Williamson offers a contact-oriented approach from the right-side of the dish, setting up in an athletic stance & getting the front foot down early to allow for conistent timing. The barrel turns into the hitting zone to get on-plane early and works to the inside part of the baseball. Williamson will flash gap power and I expect more to come as he adds strength to his lanky frame.

Ty Frakes SS / 2B / Pendleton Heights, IN / 2025 An undersized gamer that impacts that game on both sides of the ball. The 5-foot-10, 155 pound shortstop offers impact foot-speed (6.78 60) that translates in the dirt & on the base-paths. The quick-footed defender bounces around the infield with soft hands and plays downhill with a quick release. A table-setter profile at the dish, Frakes offers promising bat-to-ball skills with a short, quick swing. The offensive approach is geared towards contact, allowing the foot-speed to show up in-game.

Simon Schulz SS / 2B / Evansville Memorial, IN / 2025 The Evansville Memorial product is quality left-handed hitter that offers very solid actions all over the diamond. Standing at 6-foot and 175 pounds - Schulz hits from the left-side and delivers a quick, accurate barrel from a relaxed setup. There is plenty of feel to hit in Schulz game that will only become more impactful as he adds strength. A fundamental defender, Schulz is sure-handed in the infield with feet that work downhill & on-time with the catch.

AJ Nunley SS / 2B / Guerin Catholic, IN / 2025 Nunley plays the game with instincts & IQ to go along with fundamentally sound actions on both sides of the ball. A high-contact right-handed hitter - Nunley turns a direct barrel that allows for barrel control. Nunley shows feel for the strike-zone to go along with quick hands, and his ability to drag bunt on command adds another weapon to his offensive profile. A 7.01 runner - Nunley's in-game speed is faster than the 60 time suggests and it translates to the base-paths and infield. The undersized, quick-footed infielder is sure-handed on the dirt and plays downhill on a consistent basis.

Seth Pitcock SS / RHP / Boone Grove, IN / 2025 A two-way prospect, Pitcock offers upside on both sides of the ball. The 6-foot, 185 pounder has a short swing that works to the top of the baseball to produce low line drives. A 6.85 runner - Pitcock moves around the infield with fluidity and carries the ball across the diamond with above average arm strength. On the mound, Pitcock is a good mover with a clean, compact arm swing that produces a fastball that works in the low-to-mid-80s (T85). A strike-thrower with solid arm speed, Pitcock compliments the fastball with a slurvey, mid 70s breaking ball.

Josh Bingman SS / 3B / Brebeuf, IN / 2025 Bingman passes the eye test with a lanky, projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. The lanky infielder moves around the dirt with fluidity and his arm strength (86 INF Velo) projects him to be able to stick on the left-side. Bingman hits from the right-side of the dish with a handsy swing that should grow into more bat strength as he adds size/strength to his projectable frame. A 7.19 runner - Bingman has untapped potential with room for growth in all areas of his game.

Zachary Wright SS / 2B / Munster, IN / 2025 Wright is a consistent performer with strong defensive abilities in the middle infield. Wright bounces around the middle infield with good range, sure hands, and an accurate infield arm. The 5-foot-10, 155 pound shortstop offers feel to hit from the right-side of the dish, delivering an accurate barrel that profiles as a top-of-the-lineup bat. A 6.94 runner - Wright shows above average bat speed that translates to budding gap power.
