Indy Summer ID - Quick Hits

Cooper Trinkle
Lead Scout

Our summer showcase circuit was kicked off by the Indy Summer ID, where we hosted a handful of prospects at Grand Park, in Westfield, Indiana, for a pro-style workout on June 4th.

Stats from the event can be found, here.

Event Winners

'26 SS Nolan Ratcliff (Guerin Catholic) emerged as a huge winner from this event. A 5-foot-9, 160 pound athlete built with compact strength and twitch, Ratcliff blazed a 6.60 60 yard dash to begin the workout. He followed that by taking a fundamental round on the dirt, showing obvious foot quickness and above average actions, to go along with an 88 mph infielder arm. It takes some effort to get into his arm strength, however he possesses enough to keep staying on the left-side open, with second base likely being the safest bet of where he ends up long-term. Ratcliff then took a solid round of batting practice, a switch-hitter with a contact-oriented approach from both sides. Ratcliff showed more strength from the right-side, his natural side, where he posted a peak EV of 91.1 mph and flashed pull-side strength with a max distance of 351 feet. He is more "slappy" from the left-side, however the swing play in-game from the left-side due to the premier foot speed that he brings to the table. Ratcliff's big performance at this event shot him up the 2026 rankings and he will be a follow for our staff as college recruiters begin to shift their focus to '26's this fall.

'25 C/INF Zander Cobb (Greenfield-Central) is a versatile defender, standing at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, and he showcased well across the board. Cobb was a big contributor for Greenfield-Central in his junior spring, hitting over .300 with a handful of extra-base hits. Cobb turned in an above average run time (7.18 60) to go along with pops that ranged from 2.00 - 2.08. Offensively, Cobb showed a short, simple, right-handed stroke geared toward line drive contact.
