Fall Showcase Notebook

Cooper Trinkle
Lead Scout

This fall, our staff hosted ten events for players to showcase their skillsets. Our fall circuit began in September and ran through our final event of the fall, our Hoosier Holiday showcase. These events gave our staff the opportunity to deepen our knowledge on the current high school classes (2024 - 2027), along with identifying a couple 2028 graduates that stood out amongst their peers.

Read along to find notes on 50-plus Hoosier State natives that boosted their stock with strong showings on the fall showcase circuit.

*Prospects are categorized by class, listed in no particular order.

2024

Bryce Brabender, OF/SS, Mooresville HS, Lincoln Trail JC

Wiry, athletic, 5-foot-11, 160 pound frame. The Lincoln Trail recruit posted some of the loudest offensive metrics our staff has seen of any 2024 prospect. Brabender started the Indiana Fall Stars Scout Day with a bang - running a 6.30 60 yard dash - the fastest our staff has seen since implementing Swift technology into our events. After that, Brabender proceeded to hit a handful of pull-side homers in his batting practice round, reaching a max exit velocity of 101.8 mph with his furthest homer measuring at 406 feet.

Micah Rienstra-Kiracofe, OF, North Central HS, Kent State

Owning one of, if not the best, overall toolset in the 2024 class, the Kent State recruit also put on a show at the Indiana Fall Stars Scout Day. An athletic, 6-foot-1, 175 pounder with lean strength throughout the frame, Rienstra-Kiracofe blazed a 6.40 60 yard dash before stepping to the dish and delivering barrel after barrel in his batting practice round, reaching a peak exit velocity of 99.7 mph while averaging 95.1 mph throughout the round. To add on to one of the most well-rounded showcase performances that we have seen, Micah proceeded to show off one of the top throw tools in the class during his defensive workout, reaching 94 mph from the outfield.

Micah Vessely, RHP, Greenwood HS, Indiana

Vessely kicked off a massive fall season with a strong performance at the Indiana Fall Stars Scout Day. An athletic, 6-foot-1, 170 pound right-hander, Vessely wowed our staff with one of the top breaking balls that we've seen in the 2024 class - a mid-70s, plus offering with two-plane shape that he spun at over 3,000 RPM. Vessely complimented his advanced breaking ball with a mid-to-upper 80s fastball that he showed pristine command of. Vessely went on to become a consistent performer throughout our fall tournament coverage, eventually leading to his commitment to Indiana University.

Miguel Correa Jr., MIF, Avon HS, Uncommitted

The biggest winner at our Indiana Bulls Fall Scout Day, Correa put together a strong round of batting practice, reaching a peak exit velocity of 98.3 mph. The Avon product showed a simple, gap-to-gap approach during his batting practice round, an approach that we have seen translate to gameplay throughout his high school career. Along with showing a strong hit tool, Correa posted an above average run time (6.91 60 yard dash), as well.

Kaleb Shelton, RHP, Maconaquah HS, Uncommitted

Athleticism and arm talent were on full display at the USA Prime Scout Day, where the unsigned senior shined. Shelton, a lean, athletic, 6-foot-2, 175 pound primary arm sat 85-87, T 88 mph on his fastball. The fastball properties suggest this pitch will give opposing hitters fits, playing with ride/run properties (17.7" IVB | 17.1" HZB). While the fastball properties are impressive, the breaking ball metrics Shelton posted were even better. The quick-armed righty spun a sharp, upper-60s curveball that reached 2,800+ RPM's, a true swing-and-miss offering.

2025

Ivan Mastalski, RHP, Andrean HS, Uncommitted

One of my favorite showcase watches of the fall, Mastalski immediately made his presence felt looking the part of a next-level arm with his projectable, 6-foot-3, 215 pound frame. The Andrean product proceeded to fire strike after strike throughout his bullpen, showing pristine command of a three-pitch mix. Attacking from a 3/4 arm slot and using a loose, uninterrupted arm swing - Mastalski sat 84-86, T 87 mph on his running fastball. Complimenting the fastball, Mastalski showed a sweeping, 71-75 mph slider. To round out his arsenal, Ivan showed one of the top changeups that we have identified in the 2025 class - a late fading, 75-77 mph offering that he is able to create over 20" of horizontal break on.

Tanner Reinartz, RHP/INF, Rochester Community HS, Uncommitted

A 2025 arm that has a chance to continue to shoot up the 2025 overall rankings, Reinartz impressed during his bullpen at the USA Prime Scout Day. The physical, 6-foot-2, 205 pounder sat 84-85, T 86 mph while showing the ability to manipulate shape on two potential swing-and-miss breaking balls. Spinning both a slider and curveball that worked in the 75-78 mph range, Reinartz spun both offerings at an advanced clip. I am excited to follow Reinatz' development during his junior campaign.

Brandt Kendall, OF, Scottsburg HS, Ball State

Kendall broke out in a major way at the Indiana Fall Stars Scout Day, cementing himself as one of the top uncommitted 2025s in the state at the time. The athletic, 6-foot, 185 pounder turned the barrel with tremendous bat speed (80.9 mph) throughout a consistent round of batting practice, averaging 90.3 mph while reaching a peak exit velocity of 98.8 mph. A left-handed hitter with stand out rotational capabilites, Kendall launched multiple balls over the RF wall during his batting practice rounds. On top of wowing our staff during BP, Kendall posted a 6.69 60, grading as one of the better runners in the 2025 class. Kendall went on to be a consumate performer throughout our fall tournament coverage, leading to his commitment to Ball State.

Noah Drake, OF, Castle HS, Indiana

Shortly after committing to Indiana, Drake shined at the Top Tier Athletics Scout Day, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The 6-foot-1, 190 pounder graded highly in nearly every Blast Motion category that we measure, leading the way hand speed, bat speed, and rotational acceleration amongst his peers at the event. Showing real barrel whip from the left-side of the dish, Drake peppered the parking lot beyong the rightfield wall at will, producing a max exit velocity of 99.1 mph with his furthest homer traveling 385 feet.

Brayden Stevenson, RHP/C, Pendleton Heights HS, Ball State

From 12/16/23 - '25 RHP/C Brayden Stevenson (Pendleton Heights) turned in another strong showcase performance, a top 45 player in our 2025 class. Arm talent is the calling card for the Ball State recruit as he posted an 80 mph arm from the crouch, translating to pops ranging from 1.84 - 1.94. Stevenson then toed the rubber to produce the most electric 'pen of the day, sitting 86-88 mph on his carry fastball (up to 20" of IVB). The fastball command has come along since our last look at Stevenson, and he paired it with a tight, low-70s breaking ball that has also taken a step up. Aside from showing premier arm talent, Stevenson showed some pull-side strength during batting practice, using a loose, level swing plane to produce a peak exit velocity of 95 mph. Holding a projectable, 6-foot-2, 195 pound frame - expect Stevenson to continue to make vast improvements on the mound as he has only been focusing on this part of his game for a short time period.

Luke Albrecht, LHP, Brownsburg HS, Uncommitted

Coming into the event unknown to our staff, Albrecht made sure his name was remembered after his performance at the BAM Scout Day. The uber-projectable, 6-foot-3, 170 pounder showed off pristine arm action throughout a bullpen where he sat in the low-80s from a low 3/4 arm slot. While Albrecht is far from a finished product at this point, the frame and arm action make it easy to dream on accelerated development within his game throughout his high school career.

Ty Frakes, SS, Pendleton Heights HS, Uncommitted

Reaffirming strong in-game looks through the summer and fall of 2023, Frakes showcased well-rounded abilities at the BAM Scout Day. A lean, twitchy, 5-foot-10, 155 pounder - Frakes shined during the defensive evaluations with crisp infield actions that we have seen translate to gameplay. A 6.78 60 compliments his offensive profile, a contact-oriented table setter that was on the barrel often throughout his batting practice round.

Will Barnes, 1B, Penn HS, Uncommitted

A dangerous hitter with a physical, 6-foot-2, 220 pound frame packed full of strength - we have seen Barnes vastly improve his game over the past year. A strong perfromance at the Indiana Fall State Games pushed Barnes inside the 2025 Top 100 - thanks largely to his big day on the offensive side of the ball. Barnes reached a peak exit velocity of 99 mph during batting practice and proceeded to collect multiple extra base hits during gameplay, walking away as one of the biggest winners of the day.

Luke MacDonald, INF, Leo HS, Uncommitted

MacDonald shined at the USA Prime Scout Day, leading to an invitation to our Indiana Fall State Games. The 6-foot, 185 pounder made the most of his opportunity and proved to be one of the better bats at the State Games, shooting himself inside the 2025 Top 75 list. The left-handed hitting infielder sprayed liners all across the yard during batting practice, then proceeded to translate that approach to gameplay with strong at-bats. There is plenty of feel to hit within MacDonald's game and he is another 2025 that we will monitor closely in 2024.

Wyatt Pennington, RHP/UTL, Avon HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - '25 RHP/INF Wyatt Pennington (Avon HS) offers intriguing athleticism and was the top arm at the event (Indiana Fall State Games). The 6-foot, 175 pounder has a clean, quick arm that comes from a ¾ arm slot, producing a mid-80s fastball that topped at 88 mph. Pennington attacks the opposition with a variety of pitches - two fastballs (4 seam & sinker), two distinct breaking balls (curveball & slider), along with a splitter that he used exclusively to LHHs. The curveball worked at 68-70 mph with depth and his slider spun at 2500+ RPMs in the mid-70s. Along with impressing on the mound, Pennington showed two-way promise with bat speed from the right side of the dish, producing a peak exit velocity of 94.1 mph.

Matthew Poyer, RHP, Hamilton Southeastern HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - There is significant upside in 25 RHP Matt Poyer (Hamilton Southeastern HS). The 6-foot-5, 230 pound right-hander creates deception in the delivery with levers flying all over the place & a low ¾ arm slot that creates a tough look for hitters. The projectable arm sat in the low-80s (T 85 mph) on his fastball and paired it with a 69-71 mph slider and sinking, mid-70s splitter. I would not be surprised to see Poyer make a velocity jump after this offseason.

Mason Renfro, OF, Evansville North HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - 25 OF Mason Renfro (Evansville North HS) put together one of the best in-game performances of the day (Indiana Fall State Games), picking up multiple extra-base hits. The twitchy, 6-foot, 170 pounder has a quick bat that enters the hitting zone early, allowing for some power to RCF. A 6.9 runner - Renfro also stood out with his ability to go get the ball in the outfield, making a very impressive diving play down the LF line.

Cal Schembra, OF/1B, Center Grove HS, Uncommitted

Strong offensive profile. 6-foot, 185 pound left-handed hitter. Bat is carrying tool at the moment. Fluid stroke, bat path is advanced, works on-plane early and gets to extension. Present above average bat speed. Versatile defender, legitamite defensive 1B but size may push him to a corner OF spot at the collegiate level. Above average arm strength. Strong '25 follow

Ethan Mansfield, OF, North Posey HS, Uncommitted

Physical corner outfielder that boasts a well-rounded toolset. Muscular build with above average athleticism, stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds. Possesses above average bat speed during a level, rotational swing. Present gap-to-gap strength, flashes the ability to spin the ball true to the pull-side, reached a peak exit velocity of 96.1 mph at the Razorbacks Scout Day. Arm is a present tool, 90 mph from the OF. Strong '25 follow

Peyton Dickens, OF, Whiteland HS, Uncommitted

Immense ceiling, natural athlete that stands at 6-foot-4, 170 pounds. Frame is projectable and holds ample room for strength gains. Above average runner, 7.03 60, that hits from the left-side of the dish. Swing is loose & level, strength will help to provide more impact within the swing, flashes the ability to leverage the baseball. Above average arm strength that projects as a future tool. Strong '25 follow that could blossom into a higher level prospect.

Aiden Kerr, RHP/C, Perry Meridian HS, Uncommitted

From 10/20/23 - A primary catcher with two-way abilities - Kerr stands out with arm strength & with his ability to deliver a heavy barrel. A sturdy, 6-foot-1, 220 pounder, Kerr turns an upward barrel with advanced bat speeds, producing a peak exit velocity of 96.6 mph. There is present pull-side strength in Kerr's game. Behind the dish, Kerr has been up to 77 mph from the crouch, translating to pop times ranging from 1.97 - 2.08. One the mound, the strong right-hander pitches from a 3/4 arm slot that allows for arm-side run on a mid-80s fastball that touches 87 mph. The fastball pairs with a firm, 78-79 mph slider and a changeup at 78-80 mph that averages 19" of horizontal break.

AJ Nunley, SS, Guerin Catholic HS, Uncommitted

From 10/23/23 - Nunley plays the game with instincts & IQ to go along with fundamentally sound actions on both sides of the ball. A high-contact right-handed hitter - Nunley turns a direct barrel that allows for barrel control. Nunley shows feel for the strike-zone to go along with quick hands, and his ability to drag bunt on command adds another weapon to his offensive profile. A 7.01 runner - Nunley's in-game speed is faster than the 60 time suggests and it translates to the base-paths and infield. The undersized, quick-footed infielder is sure-handed on the dirt and plays downhill on a consistent basis.

Seth Pitcock, RHP/SS, Boone Grove HS, Uncommitted

From 10/23/23 - A two-way prospect, Pitcock offers upside on both sides of the ball. The 6-foot, 185 pounder has a short swing that works to the top of the baseball to produce low line drives. A 6.85 runner - Pitcock moves around the infield with fluidity and carries the ball across the diamond with above average arm strength. On the mound, Pitcock is a good mover with a clean, compact arm swing that produces a fastball that works in the low-to-mid-80s (T85). A strike-thrower with solid arm speed, Pitcock compliments the fastball with a slurvey, mid 70s breaking ball.

Cole Strick, LHP, East Noble HS, Uncommitted

From 10/16/23 - ‘25 LHP Cole Strick (East Noble HS) had one of the most efficient outings of the day (Fall State Games), allowing zero hits and picking up a handful of punchouts. A physical southpaw standing at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds - Strick worked 81-84 mph on a fastball with some arm side run. He paired the fastball with a slurvey, mid-70s breaking ball that flashed swing-and-miss action.

Maddux Bach, MIF, Hamilton Southeastern HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - '25 MIF Maddux Bach (Hamilton Southeastern) blazed a 6.65 60 to start the day, an event best. Possessing an athletic look with all-kinds of twitch packed into a 5-foot-9, 162 pound frame, Bach then stepped to the plate where he showed sneaky juice to the pull-side due to his ability to backspin and lift the baseball. Hitting into a firm front leg, Bach's quick hands allow him to whip the barrel to the front of the hitting zone.

Easton Smith, C, Center Grove HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - Another junior backstop with a strong performance at the Hoosier Holiday was Easton Smith (Center Grove). Smith showed strong improvements within his game, starting with a consistent round of batting practice. The strong, proportional, 5-foot-11, 190 pounder showed consistent tempo and well-timed intent throughout his round, and his simple, rotational swing produced a peak exit velocity of 96 mph. The Center Grove product was 76 mph from the crouch, translating to pops that ranged from 1.98 - 2.09.

Conner Watson, RHP/1B, Evansville North HS, Uncommitted

Standout from Razorbacks Scout Day. Real two-way potential, is a bit more advanced on the mound at this point. Projectable, 6-foot-1, 180 pound build. Fast arm that works out of a high 3/4 arm slot to produce a fastball up to 86 mph that flashes arm-side run. Pairs a good fastball with a sharp, slurvey breaking ball in the low-70s. Velo has a chance to continue to tick. Offensively, the right-handed hitter flashes pull-side strength with natural ability to get the barrel to the front of the hitting zone to leverage the baseball.

Tristan Sitton, C/RHP, Mt. Vernon HS, Uncommitted

Lanky, 6-foot, 180 pound primary backstop. Catch-and-throw abilities behind the dish are advanced, carrying tool at the moment. Fast exchange + above average raw arm strength (77 mph from the crouch) translates to pop times that range from 1.87 - 1.94. Offensively, the swing is short and repeatable and geared towards line drive contact.

Gavyn Fisher, RHP, Shelbyville HS, Uncommitted

My favorite arm from the 5 Star Indiana Scout Day. Solid, 6-foot-2, 205 pound build. Tilt-and-topple delivery, clean arm swing that works from a 3/4 release point. Controlled intent within the delivery, finishes with balance. Fastball works into the mid-80s (T85 mph) with arm-side run. Showed a tight, low-70s slider and upper-70s splitter rounds out three-pitch mix. Shows above average feel for the zone.

Tyler Rinehart, OF, Boonville HS, Uncommitted

Natural athlete with strength, holding a muscular, 6-foot-2, 190 pound build. Swing works short to the ball, with a steep path at times, to produce backspin to the pull-side. Rinehart produced loud bat speed that allows for impact as he reached a peak exit velocity of 96.4 mph during the fall. Present above average runner that should run a sub-6.8 at some point in his high school career.

Jace Mayberry, C, Eastside HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - '25 C Jace Mayberry (Eastside) showed well across the board at the Hoosier Holiday. Providing a mature look within a compact, 5-foot-9, 180 pound frame, Mayberry showed a short, quick, left-handed swing with balance throughout during his batting practice round. Showing gap-to-gap feel, Mayberry consistently squared up the baseball and produced a peak exit velocity of 95 mph. Mayberry then posted an 80 mph arm from the crouch, tied for an event best. The arm strength was noticeable and the Eastside product was able to carry the baseball to second base, posting pops that ranged from 1.95 - 2.07. To round out a strong toolset, Mayberry posted an above average run time (7.07 60), as well.

2026

Blake Cope, 1B/OF, Zionsville HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - '26 1B/OF Blake Cope (Zionsville) has been a helium '26 throughout the back-half of the 2023 season and he reaffirmed that status with one of, if not the best, showing of any player at the Hoosier Holiday. There’s no shortage of physicality with Cope, who holds plenty of inherent strength within a 6-foot-2, 195 pound frame. That strength was on full display during batting practice, where the left-handed slugger posted the top exit velocity of the day, reaching 100 mph. Displaying tremendous bat speed with bat strength to pair - there is natural lift to the pull-side as Cope delivers his barrel to the front of the hitting zone. Cope now holds the top exit velocity in Indiana's 2026 class, assuring the statement we made HERE, where we ranked Cope as the top uncommitted power hitter in the class. Along with a strong offensive showing, the Zionsville product posted the top infield arm of the event, reaching 84 mph across the diamond, while also posting a 6.90 60.  Already a name-to-know prospect to our staff, Cope heads into the winter with plenty of positive momentum behind him.

Reed Robinson, C, New Prairie HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - ‘26 C Reed Robinson (New Prairie HS) was the top prospect in attendance (Fall State Games), offering a very valuable profile as a switch-hitting catcher with strength. Robinson stands at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds and there is present strength within the frame. Robinson delivered a heavy barrel from both sides during batting practice, and he translated it by finding a firm barrel during gameplay. The sophomore backstop plays the game with an energetic, aggressive nature on both sides of the ball, looking to make plays behind the dish & getting out of the box to apply pressure to the defense.

Sean Dunlap, C, Crown Point HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - ‘26 C Sean Dunlap (Crown Point HS) impressed throughout the fall & was one of the best prospects at the event (Fall State Games). A projectable, 6-foot-3, 185 pound backstop with plenty of room to continue to pack on strength - Dunlap showed off some of the best bat speed of the day in both batting practice and gameplay. The sophomore catcher was able to spray the ball with authority throughout his batting practice round, reaching a peak exit velocity of 94.7 mph. That approach translated in gameplay as Dunlap found multiple barrels and showed the ability to use the whole field. Dunlap showed off arm strength during workouts (78 mph from the crouch) and also offers above-average receiving abilities behind the dish. Dunlap projects as a power-hitting catcher with arm strength - a valuable profile that makes him one of the top backstops in Indiana’s 2026 class.

Peyton Gray, RHP/SS, Heritage Hills HS, Western Kentucky

The Western Kentucky recruit showed improvements in all facets of his game at the Razorbacks Scout Day. Holding a frame that projects to be able to add plenty of size and strength, Gray casually sat in the mid-80s (T85 mph) on a fastball with carry properties. His fastball is complimented by his ability to spin a sharp, low-70s curveball that shows two-plane break, a pitch that Gray has outstanding feel for. Gray rounded out his three-pitch mix with a well-located, fading changeup that worked in the mid-70s. I believe that that arm is a bit ahead of the bat at this point, but Gray shows significant upside as a left-side infielder, likely a 3B in the long run, with his 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame allowing him to leverage the baseball to the pull-side gap. One of the better infield arms in the class, Gray reached 87 mph across the diamond, along with showing vast improvements in his straight-line speed, turning in an above average run time with a 7.11 60.

Gavin Lykins, RHP, Plainfield HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - I am very high on ‘26 RHP Gavin Lykins (Plainfield HS). There is all-kinds of upside within the 6-foot-3, 185 pound frame and the projectable right-hander has an uninterrupted arm swing that works from a high, over-the-top arm slot. His fastball worked in the low-80s (T 85 mph) with carry (17 - 20.5” of IVB) and it is easy to project significant velocity gains to come in the future. Lykins spun his curveball at 68-73 mph, an 11/5 shaped offering that tunnels well with his carry fastball.

Jace Watson, C/OF, Castle HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - I was impressed with the development that '26 C Jace Watson (Castle) has made since our last look during the 2023 summer. The strong left-handed hitter hailing from Evansville has made noticeable improvements in his arm strength, increasing his outfield velocity to 86 mph and his catcher velocity to 76 mph, also posting a personal best pop time of 1.96. A physical, 6-foot-1, 195 pounder - Watson showed off a short, simple swing that works level through the hitting zone, posting another personal best in exit velocity, reaching 96.2 mph.

Kaden Maxwell, LHP/OF/1B, Andrean HS, Uncommitted

Another '26 two-way - Maxwell had a strong showing on the bump at the Fall State Games. A sturdy, 6-foot-2, 205 pound southpaw, there is some rawness in the delivery, however the arm swing works with quickness to a 3/4 release point to produce a low-80s fastball. Attacking hitters with a crossfired stride, Maxwell mixes with a sweeping, upper-60s breaking ball that should develop into a quality offering as he matures into more velocity.

Aidan Creasbaum, 3B, Hanover Central HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - '26 3B Aidan Creasbaum (Hanover Central) was recently highlighted within our Top Uncommitted '26 Tools article for his strong hit tool, and he showed off that tool again at the Hoosier Holiday. Creasbaum appears to have made noticeable improvements within his body composition, leaning out to a more athletic look at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds. Creasbaum delivered one pull-side barrel after another throughout his batting practice round, showing an innate feel to lift the baseball while producing a max exit velocity of 97.6 mph.

Hayden Werner, RHP, Fishers HS, Uncommitted

Werner capped a strong fall circuit with an appearance at the Fall State Games, and I believe there is tremendous upside on the mound for the Fishers Tigers product. Owning a high-waisted, projectable, 6-foot-2, 175 pound frame - Werner shows clean, athletic movements within the delivery that pairs well with an arm that works with loose whip. Sitting in the low-80s currently, I would not be suprised to see Werner make significant velocity gains during the 2024 season.

Vince Painter, SS, Brownsburg HS, Uncommitted

Lanky, athletic, 5-foot-11, 160 pound shortstop. Shows solid actions across the board with a sound base of fundamentals. Using a fluid, toe-tap stride, Painter maintains consistent tempo throughout his load and delivers a barrel that works short to the baseball to create line drive contact. A fundamental defender with a chance to stick up the middle, Painter will see major improvements within his game as he matures into more strength.

Matthew Berry, C, Frankfort HS, Uncommitted

From 10/16/23 - ‘26 C Matthew Berry (Frankfort HS) is a ‘26 backstop to follow with solid actions on both sides of the ball. One of the better defensive catchers in the class, Berry showed soft hands when receiving along with a quick transfer that allows for catch & throw prowess. The 5-foot-9, 155 pounder works short to the baseball with barrel accuracy and proved to be a tough-out during gameplay.

Brayden Mahoney, C, Franklin Central HS, Uncommitted

A '26 backstop that continues to trend in the right direction, I was impressed with the development that Mahoney showed at the Fall State Games. Improving nearly every metric that we had on him, Mahoney showed budding bat strength with a near-90 mph exit velocity that he is able to produce despite a simple, low-effort swing. A solid receiver behind the dish, Mahoney showed quality glove actions with improving arm strength (76 mph from the crouch) that translated to pops ranging from 2.09 - 2.16.

2027

Lincoln Hoffman, OF, Westfield HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - Indiana's '27 class appears to be very strong from our early looks and OF Lincoln Hoffman (Westfield) is a young outfielder from this group that our staff is excited about. With a profile that strongly resembles that of current Indiana signee Cole Decker - Hoffman owns an exciting profile as a left-handed hitter with one of the better run tools in the class. A 7.00 runner that will undoubtedly blaze into the sub-6.8 range soon, Hoffman showcased a pure left-handed stroke with his best barrel coming off at 91.3 mph. There is some gap-to-gap feel within Hoffman's game and his athletic, 5-foot-10, 185 pound frame still has room to pack on strength.

Luke Brown, C/RHP, Evansville Memorial HS, Uncommitted

From 12/18/23 -  Brown shined at the Razorbacks Scout Day, stealing the show despite being one of the youngest players at the event. A 6-foot-3, 155 pounder with loads of room to add strength to his projectable frame - Brown shows twitchy hand speed at the dish and should grow into significant power. His best tool at the moment is his arm strength, reaching 77 mph from the crouch, and it also translates to the bump where the projectable arm casually reaches into the low-80s on his fastball.

Isaiah Snavely, SS, Fort Wayne Snider HS, Uncommitted

From 10/15/23 - ‘27 SS Isaiah Snavely (Fort Wayne Snider HS) showed off a smooth left-handed stroke, one of my favorite swings that I have seen thus far from an Indiana 2027. The athletic, 5-foot-10, 155 pound LHH SS coils into the back hip to control his forward move, creates linear stretch, turns the barrel to get on-plane deep in the zone, and hits against a firm front leg to create barrel whip out front.

Colin Axel-Adams, OF, Pendleton Heights HS, Uncommitted

A '27 that I am excited to follow - Axel-Adams provides a profile to like thanks to a lanky, 6-foot, 160 pound frame, a solid run time for the class (7.07), and bat speed that is also advanced for the class. A rotational swinger that produced a peak exit velocity of 89.9 mph, Axel-Adams shows some barrel awarness despite showing a swing that tends to exit the hitting zone prematurely. There are some mechanical adjustments that need to be made at the dish, however the athleticism that he possesses makes it easy to project that those adjustments will be made.

Nate Moses, RHP, LaPorte HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - Moses, a lanky, 6-foot-1, 136 pounder, showed feel for a three-pitch mix with a loose, whippy arm that comes from a 3/4 arm slot. His three-pitch mix is highlighted by a sweeping, 67-70 mph breaking ball, an offering with great shape that will only improve as he matures into more velocity. The quick-armed right-hander reached a peak fastball velocity of 81.6 mph and showed feel for a diving, 72-74 mph changeup.

Elio Miller, RHP, Bloomington North HS, Uncommitted

Miller had a strong showing at the Indiana Bulls Fall Scout Day, standing out despite being one of the youngest arms in attendance. A mobile, 6-foot-1, 175 pounder - Miller worked up to 83 mph on a fastball with above average carry. Miller then turned around and competed well against much-older competition at our Fall State Games. The breaking ball is still developing, but Miller's arm strength stands out at the moment and there is still projection left within his frame.

Logan Drake, INF, Castle HS, Uncommitted

An intriguing '27 prospect that is just scratching the surface of his potential - Drake owns a lanky, athletic, 5-foot-10, 150 pound frame. The lanky left-handed hitter showcased twitchy hand speed at the Top Tier Athletics Scout Day, turning in a peak exit velocity of 88.9 mph. There is some mechanical refinement to be had within the swing, as the barrel tends to exit the hitting zone prematurely at this time. Drake's brother, Noah, is a current Indiana recruit that has made strong improvements in his game since our first look at him, and we expect Logan to develop in a similiar fashion.

Brayden Campbell, INF, Gibson Southern HS, Uncommitted

A stocky, right-handed hitter built with compact strength, Campbell's bat is the carrying tool at the moment and he showed strong improvements in his overall skillset at the Top Tier Athletics Scout Day. The 5-foot-11, 175 pounder turns the barrel with authority, showing bat speed that is well-ahead of his peers, and his peak exit velocity reaches 90 mph. Campbell creates bat speed in a tight window, showing a natural ability to lift as he works behind the baseball. Looking the part of an offensive-oriented 2B or 3B at this point, improvements in foot-speed will pay dividends for the Gibson Southern product.

Brock Ballesteros, RHP/C, William Henry Harrison HS, Uncommitted

From 12/16/23 - Ballesteros offers all-kinds of upside within his projectable, 6-foot-2, 165 pound frame. The arm works with a loose whip and accelerates with above average arm speed as he turns it over, producing an upper-70s fastball that will vastly improve as he matures into more strength. Ballesteros flashed pull-side strength during batting practice, showing two-way upside as a catcher with arm strength.

Max Walkey, OF, Carmel HS, Uncommitted

A lean, left-handed hitting outfielder with athletic movement patterns - Walkey is apart of a strong '27 class and he is a hitter that I am particularly interested in following. There is some natural rhythm in the setup that flows into a smooth load, and then Walkey whips the barrel through the hitting zone with a well-sequenced, mechanically sound swing. An above average runner for the class, look for Walkey to make improvements in all facets of his game as he matures into more strength.

2028

Cole Breeden, RHP, Evansville Mater Dei HS

The most advanced arm in the class that we have identified to date, Breeden has all the traits to suggest his game will vastly improve over the next four years. Showing glimpses of a Gavin Markus at the same age, who is currently the #4 ranked player in our 2027 class, Breeden shows pristine arm action that works uninterrupted to a 3/4 release point. Owning a long-levered, projectable, 6-foot-2, 140 pound frame - Breeden offers feel for the zone with a low-effort, balanced delivery and his mid-60s slider shows promising shape.

Spencer Schiff, C/3B, Evansville Mater Dei HS

An impact bat at the Junior Future Games for Team Indiana, Schiff impressed at the Top Tier Athletics Scout Day despite being one of the youngest prospects in attendance. There is a strong base of fundamentals within Schiff's game, and I am particularly excited about his abilities at the dish, already generating upper-80s (T88 mph) exit velocities with a simple, repeatable swing that works with barrel accuracy.
