Underclass Games Recap
June 29, 2023
Our annual Underclass Games took place on June 13th at Bart Kaufman Field on the campus of Indiana University. The roster was loaded with talent - with 19 of our current Top 75 2026’s in attendance. Many new faces stood out, as well, along with a few unranked 2026s that made their case to crack our rankings in our next update. Today, we take a look at the Top 10 prospects of the day, along with a group of honorable mentions.
Top 10
1. Harrison Haq, RHP, 2026, Penn HS
Haq walked away as the biggest winner of the event with an outstanding performance on the mound. The 6-foot-3, 195 pound right-hander was a standout at the Preseason All-State in March and has continued to shoot up the 2026 list this summer. Haq possesses a powerful fastball for the class, up to 86 mph at the Underclass Games and touching 87 mph at the MPL a week later, with considerable velo still left in the tank. Aside from a powerful fastball, Haq has the ability to control the strike zone with a sweeping, 69-73 mph slider that has significant upside.

2. Jake Winger, CIF, 2026, McCutcheon HS
Winger is one of my “pick-to-click” bats in the 2026 class. The 6-foot-3, 175 pound corner infielder has a smooth right-handed swing with big-time power projection due to his long-levered frame and upward bat path. Along with offensive prowess, Winger is a solid runner (7.15) with enough arm strength to project him to be able to play 3B long term.

3. Reis Bellar, OF, 2026, Peru HS
Bellar improved his stock significantly at the Underclass Games and impressed our entire staff with his ability to swing it from the left-side of the dish. The wiry, athletic 6-foot-2, 155 pounder had multiple hits throughout gameplay and showed the ability to spray line drives all over the park during his BP round. Bellar projects to be at least an above-average runner down the road which only adds to his exciting profile.

4. Cayden Stockbridge, RHP, 2026, Penn HS
Stockbridge has everything you look for in an arm when it comes to projecting out a pitcher who has the ability to continue to improve - a high-waisted, 6-foot-1, 160 pounder that moves well down the mound, has clean arm action, and shows the ability to throw multiple pitches for strikes. Stockbridge ran his fastball up to 84 mph at the Underclass Games and spun a quality slider at 71-72 mph that helped him punch out 3 of the 5 batters he faced.

5. Desmond Francis, MIF/CF, 2026, Park Tudor HS
The Park Tudor product made his presence known from the jump at the Underclass Games, running a 6.61 60 during the workout portion, taking over as the best runner to date in Indiana’s 2026 class. The 5-foot-9, 160 pounder showed bat-to-ball skills in-game with 3 hits on the day due to a short swing with quick hands. Francis’ foot-speed will allow him to stick in the middle of the diamond, whether that is as a quick-footed MIF, or a rangy CF.

6. Jackson Trueblood, RHP, 2026, Trinity Lutheran HS
Trueblood is an exciting 2026 arm that is just scratching the surface of his big-time potential. A projectable, 6-foot-3, 165 pounder - Trueblood has a long, loose arm swing that creates whip at release when combined with his ability to create hip-to-shoulder separation in the delivery. There is some rawness in the overall operation that leads to some command issues, however the fastball has some electricity when it is in the zone and pairs well with his ability to spin two different breaking balls.

7. Gavin Jackson, CIF, 2026, Providence HS
Jackson is one of the better pure hitters in the 2026 class and showed off that tool at the Underclass Games, posting one of the top exit velocities of the day at 94.7 mph, as well as showing off his ability to consistently get his best swings off by having the top average exit velocity of the day. A strong, 6-foot, 190 pounder, Jackson has everything you’re looking for as far as swing mechanics are concerned. He is short to the ball, stays behind it and works uphill through the baseball, and creates very good bat speed without effort.

8. Parker O'Steen, C, 2026, Hamilton Southeastern HS
Switch-hitting catchers are at a premium and O'Steen fits that mold. A compact, 5-foot-11, 175 pounder - Parker's best tool currently is his bat and he projects to continue to be able to produce from both sides of the plate. The swing is short and quick from both sides and O'Steen swings a heavy barrel that should allow him to hit for juice when he fully matures. Behind the dish, O'Steen is a solid receiver with average arm strength.

9. Cooper Cammack, OF/RHP, 2026, University HS
Cammack has a frame to dream on - standing at 6-foot-5, 170 pounds. The two-way standout has significant room to pack on strength and has a chance to be a very physical kid when it is all said and done. Cammack shows upside on both sides of the ball with a right-handed swing that creates leverage out front projecting for big power potential, along with a fastball that reaches into the low-80s on the mound.

10. Beckett Suh, MIF/RHP, 2026, University HS
One of the top two-ways of the day, Suh impressed with pitchability on the mound and as one of the best defenders at the event. As a position player, Beckett is a switch-hitter with fluidity from both sides of the plate and took one of the cleanest rounds of infield during the workout portion that led to multiple above-average plays during gameplay. The 5-foot-11, 170 pounder then hopped on the mound to show off one of the best sliders of the day, along with a fastball that was up to 81 mph. Suh should continue to see improvements in his fastball velocity as he matures due to his clean arm swing and balanced & athletic delivery.
