The fourth most viewed player profile in 2015 was RHP Bryan Hoeing, a 2015 graduate of Batesville HS. Hoeing is an excellent athlete, also starring in basketball for his high school team, and has excellent upside. However, two major injuries negated his senior year. He tore his ACL in basketball last December and many thought he wouldn’t be back for the spring season. He defied odds and was back pitching in games in four months. His velocity wasn’t at its best, but the ball jumped out of his hand and was sitting 88-91 in a mid-May start while mixing in a sharp curveball and fading changeup. Hoeing was going to be a tough sign anyway considering he wasn’t quite 100 percent, but he found out in late May that he had a torn UCL and would need Tommy John surgery. However, because of his high upside the Arizona Diamondbacks still drafted the right-hander in the 32nd round of last June's draft. Hoeing didn't sign with Arizona and is now at the University of Louisville. If he can return to where he was before his injuries, Hoeing should be a high pick out of college.
