Preseason All-State Underclass Spotlight: 2022 RHP Aydan Decker-Petty

The annual Invite Only Preseason All-State Underclass Showcase for the top 2022-2024 prospects is coming up Saturday March 7th at Roundtripper Sports Academy in Westfield, IN. Leading up to the event we will highlight some of the top players to be in attendance.

Scouting Report

7/23/19: New Castle High School, Class of 2022; 6-foot-4, 165-pound RHP. On the mound, he showed a quick arm action and used his lower half well. He located low in the zone and showed depth on his breaking ball. Produced ground ball outs in the game. He was clocked sitting at 78-80 mph with a max of 80 mph. His curveball (67-69 mph) worked best when he spotted up low in the zone. He successfully located his changeup for a strike at 72-73 mph.

2/23/2019: Aydan Petty, RHP/1B, New Castle HS, 2022, 6 foot 3, 160 pounds, throws from a high ¾ slot and a medium length arm action. Has a very projectable pitchers frame and has the current arm speed to project there is plenty more in the tank. Fastball sat 79-81, CB 65-69, and CH 71-72. Curveball has good spin and depth to it and CH has good fade. Aydan is a good 2022 projectable follow in the 2022 class.
