Cooper Trinkle
PBR Indiana

Indiana’s Class of 2024 State Rankings have been updated and there were plenty of players who made a climb with a strong summer showing. Today we take a look at 20 players currently ranked in the top 100 that improved their stock on the summer circuit:

JAYCE LEEOF / 2B / SAINT JOSEPH, IN / 2024

Lee takes over as the #3 ranked prospect in Indiana’s 2024 class after having a breakout sophomore spring/summer. The uber-projectable, 6-foot-3, 175 pound outfielder possesses a rare combination of speed and power that projects to hit in the middle of the order at the next level. A right-handed hitter, Lee produces easy bat speed and possesses present pull-side power. Also a graceful defender, his 93 mph arm is a future plus-tool that could allow him to blossom into an advanced corner outfielder. At the PBR Futures Game, Lee also hopped on the mound and ran his fastball up to 89 mph with easy effort. Lee committed to Notre Dame shortly after the PBR Future Games.

HUNTER SNOWOF / 2B / CARMEL, IN / 2024

The top uncommitted bat left on the board in Indiana’s 2024 class, Snow garnered the attention of power 5 schools throughout the summer of 2022. At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Snow has considerable projection and could blossom into a legitimate middle of the order bat at the next level. A 6.97 runner, Snow’s swing is smooth and athletic, working short-to-long through the zone, and promising much more power to come.

CAMERON SULLIVANRHP / 3B / MT VERNON, IN / 2024

Sullivan was one of the biggest winners for Team Indiana at the PBR Future Games, shooting him up the class of 2024 rankings. The 6-foot-1, 180 pound RHP showed a quick arm that produced a fastball that was up to 91 mph with good ride through the zone and got multiple swing-and-misses. Sullivan’s slider is tight at 80-82 mph with 2500+ spin, and he possesses a diving changeup in the low-to-mid 80s.

ADAM BUCZKOWSKIRHP / SS / CARMEL, IN / 2024

Buczkowski was another big winner for Team Indiana at the PBR Future Games, capping off a successful summer on the mound. The athletic, 6-foot-2, 180 pound righty sat 86-88 mph at the Future Games with good ride through the zone on his fastball. Buczkowski has a hard, late breaking slider at 78-81 mph that showed to be an out-pitch. One of the top uncommitted arms in the class, Buczkowski also has the ability to drop down from a sidearm slot and sit in the low-to-mid 80s, providing a very uncomfortable look for right-handed hitters.

CORBIN SNYDERRHP / 1B / EASTERN , IN / 2024

Snyder enters Indiana’s class of 2024 rankings at #33 after a standout summer. Snyder caught the eyes of the PBR Indiana staff with a long, projectable 6-foot-5 frame. At the Indiana Summer Championships, Snyder sat 84-86 mph on his fastball. His lengthy frame and long arm action really allows him to get down the mound and attack hitters, providing a very uncomfortable at-bat. Snyder showed a big, 66-70 mph breaking ball with depth. Expect a velo jump to come soon from the lanky 2024 RHP.

PATRICK MAZUROF / LHP / CATHEDRAL, IN / 2024

Athletic, 6-foot-1, 180 pound frame. Mazur hits from a tall stance, with a preset handset, and short stride. Simple swing with some strength. Quick right handed stroke, turns the barrel efficiently. Mazur is a 3-sport athlete that projects to continue to progress from an athletic standpoint, with a chance to be very physical. He showed off his athleticism at Indiana’s Top Prospect Games in June, running a 6.77 60 yard dash.

TY ANDERSONSS / RHP / WESTFIELD , IN / 2024

A wiry athlete at 6-foot, 155 pounds, Anderson showed plenty of upside and athleticism on the mound at the Indiana Summer Championships. Anderson possesses quick arm speed, sitting 85-87 mph on his fastball. His ¾ arm slot allows his fastball to sink and run, commanding it to both sides of the plate, and he tunnels a tight, sweeper-type slider at 75-78 mph off the fastball. Although he has shown the athleticism to play up the middle, Anderson’s development on the mound is what shoots him into a Top 50 spot in the class.

JOSH BURTONRHP / SALEM, IN / 2024

A 2024 arm with plenty of upside. The 6-foot-3, 175 pound righty jumps into the Top 50 after a strong summer. Burton has a clean arm swing and efficient movements with the lower half as he moves down the mound, with a fastball that reaches 85 mph. At the Grand Park Summer Championships, Burton showed a tight breaking ball in the mid-70s that he could really command, landing it early in counts and burying it as an out-pitch. As Burton matures and continues to add strength and size, expect the velocity to continue to improve.

JOSEPH CHRAPLIWYSS / RHP / JOHN GLENN, IN / 2024

An intriguing prospect in Indiana’s 2024 class, Chrapliwy enters into the rankings as a top 50 prospect. Standing at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Chrapliwy shows plenty of upside on the mound, where he has been up to 86 mph with plenty left in the tank. At the Grand Park Summer Championships, he showed a three-pitch mix for strikes, a breaking ball with good depth, and a changeup with arm side fade. Aside from the upside on the mound, Chrapliwy showed his athleticism at the PBR Indiana Top Prospect Games by running a 6.77 60 yard dash.

ZACH MCLEAN1B / RHP / COLUMBUS NORTH, IN / 2024

Mclean passes the eye test to say the least, standing at a physical, 6-foot-4, 220 pounds. He uses a smooth, toe-tap stride at the plate and gets his hands into a strong position to hit. Mclean has barrel strength, possessing power potential, and shows the ability to stay through the middle of the field. His frame and arm strength are also intriguing on the mound, where he runs his fastball up to 85 mph and shows the ability to command three pitches.

JAKE MULVEHILLLHP / OF / JOHN ADAMS, IN / 2024

Mulvehill enters the rankings as a southpaw with good pitchability. 6-foot, 180 pounder with an athletic frame, Mulvehill shows good balance throughout his delivery with a low effort level. He ran his fastball up to 84 mph this summer with occasional arm side run and possesses plenty of feel for his breaking ball with good depth. Mulvehill’s ability to command the baseball mixed with above-average stuff that is still developing makes an intriguing prospect and a high follow in the 2024 class.

LOGAN CROCKMIF / RHP / LAWRENCE NORTH, IN / 2024

A LHH middle infielder with a legitimate run tool. Lean, 5-foot-8, 145 pounder. Crock can really handle the bat, spraying line drives to the middle of the field in multiple looks throughout the spring and summer. A threat to drag bunt at any time, Crock fits the mold as a table setter at the top of the lineup with a chance to impact that game on the base paths. Crock is a reliable defender in the middle of the diamond with quick feet and soft hands. Plays the game hard with a high motor.

COEN EVRARDLHP / OF / FLOYD CENTRAL, IN / 2024

Evrard is a lanky, 6-foot-1, 170 pound southpaw that was a top performer at Indiana’s Top Prospect Games in June. He uses a closed, stretch-only delivery with a tall balance point and long, loose arm action. Evrard was up to 85 mph this summer with his fastball and has some feel for a slurvey, low-70s breaking ball. With long arms and long legs, Evrard provides an uncomfortable look for hitters, especially lefties.

MASON WEAVER3B / 1B / HOMESTEAD , IN / 2024

Weaver is an interesting 2024, two-way prospect. He stood out at Indiana’s Top Prospect Games as a pitcher, where he showed a smooth and easy delivery and commanded a three-pitch mix. Standing at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, Weaver sat 83-85 mph on his fastball and attacked hitters in the zone. He showed intriguing feel for a fading, upper 70s changeup, as well. As a position player, Weaver moves well at the hot-corner, showing solid footwork. A 6.99 runner, Weaver has an upward swing path and produced a max exit velocity of 89 mph.

BRENDEN SMITHLHP / OF / LAKE CENTRAL, IN / 2024

Smith cracks the list as the #6 ranked LHP in Indiana’s 2024 class. A strong, 6-foot-1, 205 pound frame, Smith shows good balance throughout his delivery and has run his fastball up to 84 mph with plenty of armside run. Smith has the ability to throw three pitches for strikes, with his best offspeed pitch being his fading, mid-70s changeup.

MATEO WELLSRHP / 1B / ZIONSVILLE , IN / 2024

A large-framed RHP standing at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds with plenty of room to grow. Wells pitches from an over-the-top slot and gets good downward action on his fastball, which was up to 86 mph this summer. Wells has shown some feel for an upper 70s changeup and also has a low-70s breaking ball that is still developing.

BLAKE BORKHARDT1B / COLUMBUS EAST, IN / 2024

A strong, 6-foot-1, 190 pound left-handed hitter. Borkhardt enters the top 100 thanks to his strong, left-handed stroke. Borkhardt hit in multiple looks this spring and summer, using a rhythmic, toe-tap stride and showing plenty of bat speed. There is some swing-and-miss in his game, however his power potential is evident and he is a good follow in the 2024 class.

MIGUEL CORREA JRSS / 2B / AVON, IN / 2024

Correa impressed the PBR Indiana staff in multiple looks this high school season, showing feel to hit and the ability to get the barrel to the front of the zone on high velocity. The 5-foot-8, 160 pound MIF is a top-of-the-order type bat and showed some pull side power in-game this spring.

BRADY GALLORHP / OF / MISHAWAKA, IN / 2024

A strike-thrower, Gallo has a repeatable delivery that allows him to command the baseball, while running his fastball up to 84 mph. Standing at 6-foot, 180 pounds with wiry strength, Gallo has continuously improved his fastball velocity over the past two seasons and has room to continue to improve. Gallo has a short, quick arm and his best offspeed pitch is his tight, 72-74 mph breaking ball.

JOHN (J.J.) OLIVERSS / 2B / MISHAWAKA MARIAN, IN / 2024

Oliver is a gamer that produced every time we saw him play over the course of the spring and summer. The 5-foot-10, 145 pounder has a quiet, smooth load with a short, simple swing plane. High contact type with good bat-to-ball skills. A 6.99 runner with more quickness than speed right now, look for that time to improve as he matures physically. Quick feet in the infield with sure hands, makes the routine play. Good follow in the 2024 class.
