Team Select
+ 2019 OF/LHP Julian Greenwell (Columbus East, IN) continued to take quality swings at the plate making hard contact. The left-handed hitter displayed a consistent, on-time, line drive approach. He had an RBI on a hard ground ball to shortstop with a runner on third. Then smoked a single to left field.
+ 2020 LHP Carson Keithley (Alvin, TX) worked with good tempo, clean delivery, quick arm stroke and presence on the mound. The left-hander pounded the zone from a high-3/4 slot, has a good feel for controlling the running game and is an athlete when fielding his position. He challenged hitters throughout his outing with a fastball that sat 80-83 mph, also showing a breaking ball with 1-7 shape at 67-69.
+ 2019 OF John Tyler Mounce (Cypress Christian, TX) continued to show athleticism from the left side, recording a 3.91-second time to first base on a drag bunt single. He would then steal second and advance to third on a dirt ball read, eventually scoring on a past ball.
+ 2019 RHP Matt Santos (Cypress Creek, TX) has a projectable frame with loose arm action and regular effort. Santos repeated his delivery well from a ¾ slot, commanding his fastball at 81-84 mph, touching 85 mph and getting early action from hitters. He also showed a breaking ball at 72 mph and a 78 mph changeup.
+ 2019 C/OF Caleb Munton (Wylie, TX) continued to swing a hot bat in day 2 from both sides of the plate. Batting right-handed in his first at-bat, Munton destroyed a triple to deep center field. From the left side he laced a line drive into the left-centerfield gap. Munton also threw out a would be base stealer at second.
+ 2019 SS/2B Brendan Carrane (St. Rita, IL) has a small physical presence but continued to show athleticism and feel for his game by recording another drag bunt single today, this time in a 3-1 count.
