April 5 Brownsburg @ Lawrence North

Steven Walsh, INF, 2022, Brownsburg, Western Illinois Commit
The Future “Leatherneck”, Steven Walsh got the “Bulldog” offense going – covering a mid 80’s fastball up in the zone to LF for a HR that got out in a hurry. Present bat speed & barrel strength that will only produce more XBH in years to come. Easy pop. Expect Walsh to be a force in Brownsburg’s lineup this season.

Coby Stephens, 2022, Lawrence North, Wabash College Commit
Stephen’s is off to a blazing (7-16) start for the Wildcats, with 4 of them being for extra bases. The future “little giant” commit sinks down into the ground well during his load & consistently wins the front half of the plate. Even in the (BB/HBP: K) column as well; (4:4). Really impressive start to Coby’s senior year. 

Sean Gannon, Catcher, 2022, Brownsburg, Grace College Commit 
Gannon was impressive last night behind the plate for the “Bulldogs”. Good mobility in his set up with the ability to “hop” out of the crouch with athleticism. Solid arm strength on throws with present carry. Soft hands & quality actions.

Austin Linton, Catcher, 2024, Lawrence North, Uncommitted 
Linton has been an everyday guy as a sophomore for the 4-0 Lawrence North “Wildcats” so far this season. Collected a (1B) through the 6-hole on Tuesday. Simple swing with not much wasted movement. Flat path.

Wyatt Clodfelter, OF, 2022, Brownsburg, Uncommitted 
Uncommitted 2022 OF Clodfelter, is a guy who possesses some real box presence. Good runner. Really like the loading pattern & rhythm that is displayed by Wyatt. Really quality flat shoulder plane. Line drive approach. (2) hits on the day.

April 6 Avon vs Noblesville

Chris Kondas, INF, 2022, Avon, Uncommitted
Good balance throughout the swing for Kondas – not looking to do too much & maintains “space” into heel strike well. Low handset that is flat & direct to the baseball. Through the middle approach. 

Kyle Riley, OF/LHP, 2023, Avon, Uncommitted
Two-way prospect, Riley started on the mound for the “Orioles” and hit in the (4) spot of the lineup. Bats (R) Throws (L) – fastball was up to 84mph and the RHH took some quality swings in the box. Inside the baseball approach with some physicality to his frame. Good follow.

Nolan Decker, OF/LHP, 2024, Noblesville, Uncommitted
Collected (3) hits on the day – all to different parts of the field. “Handsy” swing with a quality approach. Displayed feel for timing up his loading movements in rhythm with pitcher w/ ability to keep head movement minimal. 

Jacob Edwards, Catcher, 2023, Noblesville, Uncommitted
Impressive play displayed by the “Miller’s” (C). Edwards played a key role in Noblesville’s victory keeping bounced pitches in front & controlling the run game. 

Cannon Vandever, INF, 2024, Avon, Uncommitted
Projectable frame (6-2/170lbs) – collected a line drive single to (LC) for Avon. The uncommitted '24 displays a certain type of “easiness” in his game. Game doesn’t speed up on him much. Good follow & guy to certainly keep an eye on throughout the summer.

Miguel Correa Jr, INF, 2024, Avon, Uncommitted
Big fan of ’24 – Miguel Correa Jr! Strong body positioning and showed the ability to get to the front of the plate on a variety of velocities. Took quality swings and at-bats all night for the “orioles”. The “feel” to hit is there & expect Correa Jr to only improve with added age, strength and size.

Kolby Kazmierski, INF, 2022, Noblesville, Uncommitted
Really twitchy athlete who can handle the bat. Leg lift/hand pump timing with some “whip” through the zone. Displayed bat control executing a hit & run. Solid lower half direction – looks to hit with his hands. Off to a (8/20) start through Noblesville’s first 6 games.

Trevor Corbett. INF, 2025, Noblesville, Uncommitted 
2025 Trevor Corbett can really play the game of baseball. Offensive run producer that can do it in a lot of ways. Freshman hitting in the “Miller” 3-hole. (4.25) H-1st on an RBI push bunt. Through the first (6) Noblesville games Corbett is (10/18) with (8) RBI’s. High Follow. 

Griffin Schabel, 2023, Avon, Uncommitted
The uncommitted '23 Schabel got the “Oriole” offense off to a quick start with a triple to begin the game off, as well hitting a double down the RF line later in the game. Really efficient swing that is on time to the front of the plate with good direction through the middle. Plays hard. Currently leads Avon in the “Hits” category with (6) through their first (4) games.

Dylan Hommel, INF/OF, 2023, Avon, Uncommitted
Hommel turned a (FB) up in the zone to deep (LC) field for a double early in the game vs Noblesville. Creates a good “corner” with his upper half & back spun this ball true into the gap. Uses some turn in, but still gets back hip “exposure” at contact. XBH approach.

Joe Huffman, INF, 2022, Avon, Quincy University Commit 
Huffman is a guy we have seen produce in massive quantities on the summer circuit & looks to have only improved over the offseason. Good actions in the infield w/ ability to get downhill – playing with one hand. Hit a triple to deep (RC) vs Noblesville. Off to a (5/11) start on the year with (3) of those going for XBH. 

Nate Simpson, OF, 2023, Avon, Uncommitted
We saw Simpson at Preseason All State & was noted as a guy to keep an eye on as we headed into this HS season. The uncommitted ’23 is off to a (4/11) start w/ a (.562) on base percentage. Started in (CF) for Avon where he went in the “alleys” multiple times, taking away extra-base-hits. Competitor that is a very tough out with 2k’s – good bat to ball skills. High Follow. 

Bryce Riggs, RHP, 2023, Noblesville, Uncommitted 
Preseason All State standout – Bryce Riggs struck out (5) in (2.1) innings pitched in the Noblesville “W” against Avon. Attacked hitters with a lot of conviction & only threw harder as his outing progressed. The (FB) sat (84-87) and (T88mph) with some ASR down in the zone. BB action looked to have a more true “curveball” shape, and could land for strike in the zone. Expect to see Riggs get up into the 90mph range as the weather heats up. Lots more in the tank for the RHP.

Joshua Kern, INF/RHP, 2022, Noblesville, Belmont Abbey Commit
Lots to like in the (RH) swing of Kern. Displayed feel for rhythm & timing with good sequencing of his movements. Looks the part & plays under control. Run producer – has driven in (6) runs in (6) games so far for Noblesville. Athletic frame

4/8 Plainfield @ Danville

Brett Poindexter, INF, 2022, Danville, Indiana Tech Commit
Poindexter led the home half of the first with a quality swings through the middle of the field. Simple-smooth loading pattern that maintains direction through contact. Physical frame with present bat speed. Quality at bats all night.  

Thomas Klein, INF, 2022, Plainfield, Uncommitted 
Klein was the leadoff hitter for Plainfield & displayed some “whip” through the zone. Tall narrow set up that gets him in his rear leg upon lift & stride. Flat path with a good feel to hit. 

Cooper Martin, INF, 2023, Plainfield, Uncommitted 
Was a big fan of Cooper Martin’s game from what he displayed Friday at Danville. Lean-athletic frame with some real intangibles on both sides of the ball. Good hand eye plays with one hand on defense well. Good follow as we turn toward warmer weather.

Nathan Holowka, INF, 2024, Plainfield, Uncommitted 
The physical frame that Holowka possesses with his ability to get the barrel to the ball often, could project him to be a very interesting prospect. Was an absolute run producer for Plainfield’s lineup. Strong top hand & good body control. 

4/8 Providence @ Silver Creek

Jace Burton, SS, Silver Creek HS, 2023
Uncommitted 2023 SS. Twitchy, projectable 6-foot-1, 175 pound frame. Smooth, quick actions in the infield. Quick, efficient footwork and good arm strength from a high ¾ slot. Glove works out front with a quick exchange. Hits from a balanced setup, using a small load, and toe tap stride. Quick hands, flatter path. Tends to lose direction at times, but shows solid bat-to-ball skills. Burton looks to have more strength in the bat compared to last summer/fall. Burton finished the night 2 for 3 with a 2B and 2 RBIs.

Dane Dewees, OF, Silver Creek HS, 2023
Uncommitted 2023 OF. Lean, 5-foot-11, 155 pound frame. Quick-twitch athlete. Advanced runner, 6.65 60 time and ran a 4.19 down the line on an infield single. Hits from a taller stance with a high handset, using a small load and short stride. Simple swing, line drive/contact type approach. Flat bat path, tends to cut across the zone with the barrel. Dewees showed above average arm strength in IO. Showed off his foot-speed/range on balls in the gap. His frame projects to be able to put on size and strength while maintaining his speed. Dewees finished the night 2 for 3 with a 2B, 2 RBIs, and 2 SBs. The speedy CF already has 12 SBs in 8 games this season. 

Dominic Decker, INF, Silver Creek, 2022
Colorado Mesa University commit. Stocky, 6-foot, 192 pound frame. The LHH infielder is confident in the box and shows very good bat-to-ball skills. Hits from an open, wide stance. Decker uses a rhythmic, handsy type load with a small leg kick. Quick, compact swing that gets to extension well. Gamer. He finished the night 1 for 2 with an RBI and 2 runs scored, also getting the win on the mound for Silver Creek, pitching 4 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run.

4/9 Mooresville @ Beech Grove

Hogan Denny, C/INF, Mooresville, 2024
The Indiana commit impacted the game in multiple ways in Mooresville’s win. Denny finished the day 1 for 2 with a HR, 4 runs scored, 3 RBIs, 3 BBs, and 4 SBs. Strong, 6-foot, 165 pound frame. Denny didn’t get much to hit, but when he did he absolutely punished a ball over the LCF wall for a HR. Showed good patience and awareness of the strike zone. Hit from a strong, balanced setup. Uses a quick tempo leg kick and tight, compact load. Minimal head movement, even with the leg kick. Explosive bat speed. Behind the dish, Denny showed good arm strength and strong hands. Athletic lateral movements. Denny is an above average runner, but shows good instincts on the bases, allowing his speed to play up. 

Nick Wiley, 1B/RHP, Mooresville, 2022
Indiana Wesleyan commit. XL, Physical 6-foot-6, 225 pound frame. Wiley hit from a tall, balanced stance with a compact load and controlled, short stride. Present bat speed in a short, simple swing. Wiley is a better runner than he looks to be, turning in a 4.2 H-1st time to beat out an infield hit. Wiley finished the day 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs.
