4/26/22 Vincennes Lincoln vs Castle
By Daylan Nanny

Cameron Tilly, RHP, 2023, Castle, University of Auburn Commit
The ’23 right-hander was very impressive in his innings of work for Castle. Low pulse, with a very efficient delivery. BB was tight with late action & even threw the CH R/R. Lots of 92-93’s early in the day, I expect this number to only continue to jump with easy effort in the delivery. FB: 88-91mph, BB: 76-78mph, CH: 80-83mph

Will Coleman, OF/LHP, 2025, Castle, Uncommitted
2025 Coleman stood out for Castle with his ability to drive the ball through the middle of the field. Compact movement patterns – hits against front side. Little wasted movement. Consistent tempo with a good approach. Good follow.

4/26/22 Bloomington North @ Bloomington South
By Cooper Trinkle

Caden McCoy, LHP, Bloomington North, 2024
Physical, 6-foot-2, 210 pounder sat 84-88 mph on his fastball, with good arm-side run. Good arm strength, compact arm action, crossfire delivery that creates deception. Commanded the fastball to both sides of the plate. His best off-speed pitch in this look was his changeup, sitting 79-80 mph with some late arm-side run. Showed good arm speed on the changeup and commanded it to his arm-side. The breaking ball was 67-71 mph with a lot of depth, however the command was inconsistent. High upside, development of the breaking ball will pay dividends for the sophomore southpaw. McCoy finished the night with 3 ⅔ IP, allowing 2 ER and punching out 7,

Nico Walters, RHP, Bloomington South, 2023
Proportional, 6-foot, 195 pounder. Walters came out 82-84 mph on his fastball, touching 85 mph. Pitched off of his tight, 68-71 mph breaking ball, that he would throw in any count. Flashed a CH at 74-76 mph. Consistent tempo throughout the delivery. Shorter arm action, hides the ball well creating some deception. Some quickness in the arm speed. Walters showed competitiveness and pitched with emotion. Poised with RISP. He finished the night with 7 IP, allowing 4 Hs, 4 ER, while striking out 9.

Cooper Webb, OF, Bloomington South, 2022
Anderson commit. Athletic, 6-foot frame. Hit from an open stance with a controlled, compact load. Quick hands with good bat-to-ball skills. Line drive approach. Handled velocity well and showed awareness of the strike zone. Above-average runner. The senior outfielder had a big night at the plate, going 4 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 2 SBs.

Max McCammon, C, Bloomington South, 2023
Sturdy, 5-foot-10, 195 pound backstop. Showed some pull-side pop with a 2B and HR against velocity. Hit from a relaxed stance, with a short stride and compact load. Consistently got into a good position to hit. Strong hands with barrel strength. Looked to get the ball out front, but also showed good patience in the box. Received with strong hands behind the dish and blocked well. Finished the night 2 for 3 with a BB, 2B, and a HR.

Cole Grupenhoff, LHP/OF, Bloomington North, 2024
Projectable, lanky 6-foot, 150 pound frame that projects to continue to fill out as he matures. Good athlete. Played CF and pitched the last 2 ⅓ innings for Bloomington North, allowing 1 H, 2 BBs, 1 ER, while striking out 3. Worked from the stretch with a longer, loose arm action. Balanced, clean finish. Sat 79-81 mph on his FB, touched 82 mph with arm-side run. Showed a tight, slurvey type breaking ball at 68-71 mph. Expect more velocity as he matures. Good follow in the 2024 class.

4/27/22 Brownsburg @ Avon
By Daylan Nanny

Walker Brodt, RHP, 2023, Brownsburg, Uncommitted
’23 - Brodt came in outta the pen for the “Bulldogs” with a short quick fastball that was consistently 83-85mph. Command was consistent overall & threw with conviction. Slow CH & tight BB. Solid 6’1/200lbs frame. FB: 83-85mph, BB: 71-73mph, CH: 70-72mph

Ben Bayler, SS, 2022, Brownsburg, Uncommitted
2022 Bayler displayed the ability to handle the FB & stick to a good approach through the middle of the field. Athletic frame with some twitch in the hands. Solid flat bath path. Could be a diamond in the rough for someone looking for an INF late.

Gavin Schultz, RHP, 2023, Avon, Uncommitted
Pitching in long relief for the Orioles was Gavin Schultz. Showcasing his ability to command the strike zone with two pitches. Hides the baseball from the hitter well – some deception in the delivery. BB had some depth to it at times. Pitched well. FB: 80-83mph, BB: 71-73mph

Nate Simpson, OF, 2023, Avon, Uncommitted
One of my favorite uncommitted ’23 LHH’s left on the board is Avon CF – Nate Simpson. Nate is a 2023 that shows well in all facets of the game with a niche to find the barrel. Tough out with 2k’s & possesses + plate discipline. A guy people need to get out and see for sure. High Follow.

Mason Grant, OF, 2022, Brownsburg, Muskingum University Commit
Mason Grant is a guy we have seen be very productive for the Bulldog offense this spring. Strong frame with the ability to hold his hands back into heel strike. Good adjustability. Really like Grant’s game.

4/27/22 Franklin @ Mooresville
By Cooper Trinkle

Brendin Oliver, RHP, Mooresville, 2024
Uncommitted 2024 arm on the rise. Oliver has tons of upside - with a long, lanky 6-foot-3, 170 pound frame and a fastball that reached 89 mph in the 1st inning. Oliver sat 85-88 T89 in the first, but settled in more at 84-87 over his 4 innings of work. Fastball showed some ASR. Sweeping SL at 73-76 with 10/4 shape. SL has the potential to be a legitimate swing-and-miss pitch. CH at 79-82 with some fade. High ¾ arm slot, compact arm action, with quick arm speed. Slight cross-fire delivery. The sophomore righty filled up the zone, but got hit around a little when he caught too much of the plate with the FB. Oliver threw 4 innings, allowing 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, and punched out 3 against Franklin. Expect Oliver’s stock to continue to improve as he fills out and continues to add strength.

Max Clark, OF/LHP, Franklin, 2023
Max is one of those players you don’t want to take your eye off, because you may miss something special. The 6-foot, 190 pounder plays the game with incredible intensity, poise, and maturity. Makes the game look easy. Clark has plus bat speed coupled with very impressive zone awareness at the dish. His quick hips and elite foot speed allow him to track balls from gap-to-gap with ease in CF. The Vanderbilt recruit finished the day 3 for 4 with a laser HR to CF.

Deklan Thompson, INF, Mooresville, 2024
Athletic, 6-foot-1, 165 pounder. Thompson played 3B for Mooresville, making every routine play and showing good range to his glove side. Showed comfortability playing downhill/on the run. Good arm strength. Some stiffness in his actions on both sides of the ball, but tons of twitch as well. Hit from a preloaded stance, with a tight, compact load, and a leg-lift type stride. Quick hand speed with a flat bat path. 6.88 runner. Was 1 for 3 with an RBI against Franklin.
