With the 2017-2018 Prospect Showcase coming up on September 21st, we are highlighting some of the top 2017 players we've seen thus far in the Hoosier State.

Name: Roy Thurman
High School: North Central (Indianapolis)
Graduating Class: 2017
Position: OF
Height: 6-0
Weight: 190

Thurman is one of the top offensive 2017 prospects in the Midwest and was a member of Team Indiana at this year's Future Games.  He possesses a strong, athletic frame at 6-foot, 190 pounds and runs a 6.89 60. Thurman starts in a balanced setup using a smooth load with good rhythm throughout his swing.  He possesses quick bat speed and power for his age, registering an 88 mph exit velo this summer.   Defensively he shows solid actions with the ability to run balls down in the gaps, but will need to continue to add arm strength (78 from the OF).  Thurman is a high follow with tons of projectability.
