As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

The Noblesville Millers and Head Coach Justin Keever have high aspirations this spring with eight positional starters and five pitchers returning from 2013's 18-12 team.  Leading the way for the Millers is 1st Team Preseason All-State selection, Garrett Christman, a 6-foot-1 SS/RHP that is signed to play at Butler University. The No. 14 ranked player in Indiana's class of 2014 hit .341 last spring with 17 RBI, 17 Runs and 10 SB.  On the mound last season the RHP posted a 1.94 ERA with 40 K's in 43.1 IP. Junior Brian McLean returns to the Millers outfield this spring after hitting .375 as a sophomore.  McLean, ranked No. 38 in Indiana's class of 2015, also drove in 14 runs and swiped 15 bags last season. LHP Zach St. Pierre is expected to once again contribute to the pitching rotation.  As a Junior St. Pierre posted a 2.83 ERA while compiling 38 K's in 42 IP.  St. Pierre also batted .255 last spring with 2 HR and 11 RBI.  Another LHP Coach Keever will rely on is Southern Indiana commit, Trevor Salmon, the No. 50 ranked prospect in Indiana's class of 2014.  Salmon pitched in 50.2 innings last season with a 1.93 ERA and 56 K's. Sophomore 3B Connor Christman returns to the Millers lineup after hitting .250 as a freshman.  The 6-foot-2, 190 pound sophomore is currently ranked No. 11 in Indiana's class of 2016. Other players expected to contribute this spring include; senior OF Andrew Wilson, Junior LHP Will Plumer, and Junior corner INF/P Dax McLochlin.
