As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

The Maconaquah Braves and Head Coach Dustin Hays will look to improve on last year's 14-10 record. A total of five starters and three arms return in 2014 including LHH Junior 1B/3B Josh Fewell.  The 6-foot-3, 215 pound Fewell hit .466 with 8 2B, 5 3B, 3 HR, and 31 RBI in 2013. Senior 2B Jorge Cortez returns for his final season.  The 5-foot-8, 160 pound Cortez hit .379 with 5 2B, 1 3B, and 10 RBI last spring.  Coach Hays will look to two sophomores to play key roles in 2014 in OF's Will Feller and Cade Dennis.  The 6-foot, 160 pound Feller hit .286 as a freshman.  Other players expected to contribute are Junior Josh Holmes and senior Nick Love.  Holmes finished is sophomore campaign with a .333 BA.
