2014 Overall Rankings Updated: Indiana's Patten & Murray Round out Top 10

The overall 2014 Prep Baseball Report player rankings are now updated. Indiana has two high-end right handed pitchers in the top 10 in Jonah Patten (No. 9) and Brandon Murray (No. 10). Both righties are headed to SEC programs next fall; Patten (left), a member of Team Indiana at the 2012 Midwest Future Games, will head to the University of Arkansas while Murray is headed to the University of South Carolina.
Indiana has a total of 10 players in the Top 100. After Patten and Murray, Jeffersonville’s Drew Ellis comes in at No. 33. The shortstop will make the short trip down to the University of Louisville next fall.
Logan Sowers comes in as the No. 39 ranked prospect in the PBR coverage area. Sowers, a 6-foot-4 outfielder, is committed to Indiana University.
One of the biggest risers in the rankings is No. 58 Treg Haberkorn (right). The Top Prospect Games participant was previously ranked No. 77, but after a big summer saw his stock rise tremendously. Haberkorn has committed to the University of Cincinnati.
2012 Midwest Future Games participant Macy Holdsworth (left) comes in at No. 74. The shortstop from Greensburg HS is committed to Indiana University.
Another player making a big jump in the overall rankings was No. 77 Zach McKinstry, previously ranked No. 97. The middle infielder will play his college baseball at Central Michigan.
Indiana features three players ranked in the 80’s. No. 80 Gage Rogers, a Top Prospect Games participant,is headed to High Point in North Carolina. Hamilton Southeastern’s Tre Gantt (right) is ranked No. 84 overall. Gantt attended last winter’s Preseason All State Showcase in Indianapolis. The speedy, athletic outfielder is committed to Ohio State. Colin Brockhouse out a RHP/SS out of Northrop is ranked No. 86. Brockhouse, who attended the Underclassman Showcase last winter at Goshen, is committed to Ball State.
