On June 18th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff hosted the Peoria Summer ID at East Side Complex in East Peoria, Ill. Over 30 players participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Illinois staff.

Today we are taking a look at each and every position player that was in attendance, along with a Top-5 ranking of who our staff deemed as the best prospects from the event. 

A couple strong right-handed hitters to note from the day are 1B Jackson Griffith (Arcola, 2026) and 3B Auggie Lohnes (East Peoria, 2026).

Griffith, listed at 5-foot-11, 224-pounds, presented the highest average bat-speed in attendance (73.5 mph) to pair with the second highest average hand-speed (22.8 mph). He worked on the barrel consistently throughout his round, creating a max EV of 96.3 mph.

Lohnes is another physical presence, standing in at 6-foot, 233-pounds with present strength. He has a simple, flat swing with easy bat-speed, averaging 72.3 mph behind only Griffith in the event. He had the third-best average hand-speed (22.3 mph), and also reached up to 94.8 mph for his max EV. 

3B/C Lucas Farabaugh (Ottawa Township, 2026) is an upside prospect that looks to have a bright future ahead of him. He’s listed at a lean and projectable 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, and there is still plenty of room to add on strength in the coming years. He has a loose, repeatable right-handed swing that showed some feel for the barrel with a polished approach, and he’s a fluid defender with soft hands on the infield dirt as well.
