More college commitments:

Matt Lawrence, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound OF from Lake Forest HS, has committed to Lafayette College. Lawrence is a sub-7 runner who batted .392 and slugged at a .639 clip with 4 home runs and 13 stolen bases as a junior for the Scouts.

Sean Eder, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound RHP/OF from Lake Zurich HS, has committed to Ball State University. Over the summer, Eder’s fastball climbed as high as 93 mph, sitting in the upper-80s. Although he didn’t get many innings as a junior, his arm strength alone makes him a high-follow prospect. At the plate, Eder batted .418 - .475 with runners in scoring position - with 7 doubles.

Kevin Grudzinski, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound MIF from Hoffman Estates HS, has committed to Holy Cross. Grudzinski earned Mid-Suburban League All-Conference as a junior last spring.
