On Monday, February 19, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff hosted the Lockport Preseason ID at Bo Jackson's Elite Sports in Lockport, Illinois. Perennially one of our largest events, this year's event was host to nearly 170 prospects from around the state, giving our staff an in-depth look at a number of talented players before the spring season took off.
Over the last week, we have been breaking down the top prospects from each position group, starting with the catchers last week before moving onto outfielders, infielders and pitchers.
Today, we conclude our post-event content with a look at the top overall prospects from the event, which can be found below.

1. Nate George OF / RHP / Minooka , IL / 2024
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 5-11, 193-pounds. Strong, athletic frame. Hit: RHH. Balanced, sits into legs, repeats, athletic. Fluid bat path with extension out front, hard line drive contact to the middle and pull-side with natural lift at times. 74.9 mph bat speed with 26 G’s of rotational acceleration. Power: 102 max exit velocity, averaged 97.9 mph. 390’ max distance. Arm: RH. OF - 96 mph. Short path, quick, 3/4 slot. Defense: Bouncy defender, quick feet, athletic actions. Run: 6.39 runner in the 60.

2. Elliott Alicea OF / RHP / Burlington Central, IL / 2024
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 6-2, 194-pounds. Strong, athletic build with present strength. Hit: LHH. Relaxed setup, weight shifts into back leg, slight knee-knock into a long stride, utilizes lower-half. Flat bat path with extension out front, line drive to the middle and pull-side part of the field. 74.4 mph bat speed with 21 G’s of rotational acceleration. Power: 105 max exit velocity, averaged 87.2 mph. 409’ max distance. Arm: RH. OF - 93 mph. Longer, quick action, carry to throws. 3/4 release. Defense: Quick first step, athletic and clean actions. Run: 6.83 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: RHP Delivery: Stretch-only; calm tempo. Easy effort, worked on-line to target. Arm Action: RH. Long, loose from a high 3/4 slot; easy arm strength and speed. FB: T90, 84-90 mph. Four-seam, straight actions, flashes carry. T1989, 1757 average rpm. CB: 77-81 mph. Short 12/6 shape, thrown with intent. T2203, 2008 average rpm. SPLT: 76-77 mph. Some feel for the zone, true split with late depth to it. Swing/miss pitch.

3. Davis Collie 1B / LHP / Sycamore, IL / 2025
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP Body: 6-2, 204-pounds. Strong, sturdy frame with present strength throughout. Hit: LHH. Upright, slightly open setup, simple load and stride, utilizes lower half. Easy power, stays through the ball with easy bat-speed, loud round, backspin. 76.7 mph bat speed with 14 G’s of rotational acceleration. Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 92.3 mph. 351’ max distance. Arm: LH. INF - 72 mph. Compact arm action, 3/4 arm slot. Defense: Athletic, clean glovework, comfortable actions around the bag. Run: 7.60 runner in the 60.

4. Luca Agne SS / 2B / Plainfield North, IL / 2027
Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5-5, 131-pounds. Athletic build. Hit: SH. Balanced, athletic setup, hangs foot with a high leg-kick into a long stride, balanced throughout. LH: Slightly uphill bat path, extension through contact, line drive approach to all fields. RH: Uphill path, hands are direct to the ball, works line drives to the middle and opposite fields. 67.3 mph bat speed with 15 G’s of rotational acceleration. Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 77 mph. 306’ max distance. Arm: RH. C - 72 mph. INF - 81 mph. C: Short, quick arm action, 3/4 arm slot. INF: Short, compact arm action, 3/4 release with some armspeed out front. Defense: 2.01-2.11 pop times. INF: Smooth transfer, plus movements, handles the ball well. C: Comfortable one-knee setup, Works up through the baseball, loose-wristed. Run: 7.30 runner in the 60.

5. Jack Schiek RHP / 3B / Lockport, IL / 2026
Positional Profile: RHP Body: 6-2, 155-pounds. High-waisted, long-levered, has room to fill out the frame. Delivery: Medium leg lift into balance point with slight coil, tall and fall, athletic downhill, clean. Arm Action: RH. Loose, full arm loop, quick, high 3/4 slot with whip out front. FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Life through the zone, four-seam type. T2366, 2281 average rpm. CB: 68-71 mph. Depth off an 11/5 plane, lands at times. T2009, 1973 average rpm. SL: 71-72 mph. Tighter lateral action. T2109, 2006 average rpm. CH: 76-78 mph. Mostly straight, thrown at arm speed. T1751, 1604 average rpm.
Positional Profile: 3B Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, hangs foot into a long stride, slightly open front foot works back to even. Level bat path, creates extension through the zone, works line drives to the middle of the field with some natural loft at times. 73 mph bat speed with 4 G’s of rotational acceleration. Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 81.5 mph. 286’ max distance. Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Long, loose arm action, high 3/4 arm slot. Defense: Long levers, smooth hands, clean exchanges. Run: 7.46 runner in the 60.
