Wisconsin Spring League Roundup

The Wisconsin Spring League saw limited action due to another wet weekend, but on Sunday some of the teams saw action on the turf of Carthage College. Here's a look at the scores and highlights.

Carolina Blue 11, Navy 4

Carolina Blue topped Navy 11-4 with eight runs in the fifth and six innings. A three run Carolina Blue lead headed into the fifth turned to an 11-1 lead in no time. Owen Miller (Ozaukee, 2015) and Brandon Krennrich (Johnsburg, IL, 2015) both had three hits for Navy in the loss. Connor Kimple (Marquette University, 2016) drove in two runs on two hits.

Red 3, Navy 1

Ty Ramirez (Greendale, 2015) and Jonathan Stiever (Cedarburg, 2015) engaged in a pitchers’ duel. Ramirez came out on the winning end striking out three, scattering four hits and two walks. Stiever showed swing and miss stuff striking out eight in five innings. J.T. Athy (Cudahy, 2015) and Austin Emanuel (Mukwonago, 2016) both has two hits for Navy.

Red 8, Carolina Blue 6

Zach Biermann (West Bend East, 2015) collected two extra base hits including a solo shot to centerfield. Alex Doud (Mukwonago, 2015) also collected two hits for Red. Jack Kinzer (Port Washington, 2016) matched Biermann with a solo shot of his own.

White 7, Black 6

Alex Rodriguez (Cudahy, 2017), Jarred Kelenic (West Bend West, 2018) and Alessandro Kulutbanis (Homestead, 2018) all drove in two RBI for White. LHP Christopher Krennrich (Johnsburg, 2017) struck out seven in four innings pitched for White.
