Today’s unsigned senior spotlight is on James DeGeorge. DeGeorge is a 2013 graduate of Lake Zurich HS. We recently saw DeGeorge at the Unsigned Senior Showcase in October.

DeGeorge featured himself as one of the top outfielders at the event. He is an athletically built 5-foot-11, 175-pounder that showed solid defensive actions. He played through the ball well showing fluid footwork and a clean exchange. His arm possessed excellent accuracy, working through his target every time recording velocities at 80 mph.

Offensively, DeGeorge hits out of a slightly closed setup; he gets on top of the baseball well exhibiting a level bat path that produces line drives. DeGeorge also demonstrated solid barrel whip, making hard contact.

DeGeorge will lead a strong Lake Zurich lineup that along with No. 16 ranked Anthony Drago should produce plenty of runs this year for the Bears.
