Today’s unsigned senior spotlight is on John Peltz. Peltz is a Class of 2013 graduate of Wheaton North HS. Peltz is a physically imposing figure, who also serves as the starting quarterback of a prolific Wheaton North football team. He is a very physical 6-foot-3, 215-pound athletic corner infielder who has power potential. At the Stevenson Showcase, he ran a 6.99 60.

Peltz showcases significant right-handed power potential at the plate. Peltz stays tall and balanced throughout his swing, and generates big power from a strong lower half. The ball jumps off his bat with backspin, carry and loft. Defensively, Peltz shows reliable hands and footwork at third base. Peltz looks to be one of the better power-hitting prospects in the class.
