The Outlook: Fitzgerald has been a starter on Varsity since his sophomore year. At the Unsigned Senior Showcase in October the physical outfielder flashed a combination of tools that should play well at the next level. He registered a 91 mph exit velocity from the tee, found the barrel routinely in batting practice and was clocked at 85 mph from the outfield. Fitzgerald is also highly academic.

Scouting Report: 10.9.16 - 6-foot-1, 200-pound, strong frame, outfielder. Offensively, right-handed hitter, present bat speed, consistent hard contact, gap-to-gap approach, ability to get extension, uphill path through the zone; 91 mph exit velocity. Balanced setup, smooth load, short stride, explodes in lower half. Defensively, clean exchange, plays through the ball. Flashed a short, accurate from an over the top slot; throws clocked at 85 mph from the outfield. 7.54 runner in the laser timed 60.
