Fitzgerald attended the Midwest Future Games in 2013, as a sophomore, and immediately stood out for his athleticism and projectable frame. He committed to Louisville that fall and has since grown into one of the top infielders in the country. He’s not flashy, but Fitzgerald is a plus runner with solid tools across the rest of the board. He’s fundamentally sound with short, direct swing at the plate and has the defensive ability to stay at shortstop at the next level.
