Several more prospects have named their schools recently:

Brodie Meyer, a middle infielder from Chicago Christian HS, has committed to Butler University. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Meyer showed extremely well at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase in October, when he ran a 7.0 60 and showcased an easy, quiet swing at the plate. Meyer is currently ranked No. 163 in Illinois’ 2013 class.

Rend Lake College received four commitments, including two from ranked prospects. SS Alex Wittenauer (Waterloo HS), RHP Ty Henderson (Webber Township HS), RHP/1B Alex Andros (Goreville HS) and RHP Tyler Ellis (Mt. Vernon HS) all named Rend Lake.  Henderson, a 6-foot-7 right-hander, is currently ranked No. 93 in Illinois’ 2013 class. Wittenauer, a slick-fielding middle infielder, is currently ranked No. 115 after his stellar showing at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase.

Steven Chamberlain, a left-handing hitting infielder from Rockford Guilford HS, has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Chamberlain is currently ranked No. 89 in Illinois’ 2013 class.

Ryne Blanton, a RHP/3B from Richmond-Burton HS, has committed to Madison Area Tech CC in Wisconsin. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Blanton showed well recently at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase. He commanded three pitches for strikes, including an 83-85 mph fastball.

Mario Samuel, a LHP from Bolingbrook HS, has committed to Heartland CC.
