Several Illinois seniors have named their schools recently. A look at who’s going where:
Jordan Heckler, a 5-foot-11, 175 MIF from Edwardsville HS, has committed to Western Illinois. Heckler, who’s ranked No. 193 in Illinois’ 2013 class, is the starting shortstop at Edwardsville. He ran a 7.01 60 and was clocked at 81 mph across the infield at a past PBR event.
Billy Quirke, a left-handed hitting MIF from Providence Catholic HS, has committed to Triton JC. The 6-foot, 165-pound Quirke, who’s currently ranked No. 217 in Illinois’ 2013 class, had originally committed to Bellarmine.
Sam Nafziger, a 6-foot-1, 155-pound LHP from Wheaton North HS, has committed to St. Louis University. Nafziger is currently ranked No. 142 in Illinois’ 2013 class.
Jacob Evans, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound left-handed hitting OF from Normal West HS, has committed to the University of Dubuque.
Danville Area CC recently landed two prospects: Brazon Wheeler, a 5-foot-9 SS from Ottawa HS, and Jake England, a RHP from Oakwood HS.
Illinois Central College landed two more prospects: Tyler Hilton, an OF from East Peoria HS, and Canton catcher Jake Ketcham.
