8/16/16 - 6-foot, 220-pound right-handed hitting catcher with a strong frame especially in the lower half. At the plate hits from a balanced setup with a smooth load and short stride. Gap to gap hitter with a long, level swing path and fluid rhythm. Showed a fast bat with good balance. Showed strength thru contact with 94 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.96. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top arm slot. Throws showed carry with a quick transfer and release. Popped 1.97-2.06 and threw 78 mph from the crouch. Flexibility in the lower half receiving with soft hands.
Andrew Hancock, RHP, Lincoln-Way Central, 2018
Evansville
Future Games 2016 - 6-foot-6, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic build, projection in the frame. Fastball ranged between 82-84 mph, topping at 85, mostly straight. Curveball worked at 74 mph, 11/5 shape, recorded two strikeouts in two innings with the pitch.
Westin Muir, RHP. St. Charles North, 2017
UW-Whitewater
8.12.16 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound, athletic, right-handed pitcher. Tall and fall delivery, high front side, easy effort, smooth rhythm, repeats well. Long, loose arm action from a high ¾ angle. Fastball, arm side run, thrown for strikes, sat 80-82 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, shape action, thrown for strikes. Changeup, arm side run, 73 mph. Worked two scoreless innings allowing just one hit while striking out two.
Ian Taylor, 1B, Conant, 2017
Saginaw Valley State
8.9.16 - 6-foot, 204-pound, strong frame, first baseman. Offensively, right-handed hitter, bat speed, pull-side approach, flashed power; exit velocity clocked at 90 mph. Balanced setup, long stride. Defensively, reliable hands, clean exchange. Short, accurate arm from an over the top to high ¾ slot; throws clocked at 83 mph across the diamond. 7.00 runner in the laser timed 60.
Kyle Seebach, LHP/OF, Rochelle, 2017
Northern Illinois
7/28/15 - 6-foot-6, 175-pound, left-handed pitcher with a lanky frame. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall, online delivery with a square landing and upright finish. Fastball sat 77-78 mph. Curveball showed 1-7 shape with loose rotation and gradual action at 57-62 mph. Maintained arm speed on changeup that flashed fade at 70-72 mph.
Ben Swords, 3B, Freeport, 2017
Webster University
2.15.16 - 6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting 3B/RHP. Offensively hits from a balanced, narrow stance with a toe tap stride and average balance. Gap to gap hitter with a long, uphill path and fluid rhythm. Showed a fast bat. Showed strength thru contact with 86 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.38. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ slot. Athletic actions with fluid footwork and a quick exchange. Threw 77 mph across the infield. On the mound works form a high ¾ arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery with a closed toe landing and some rhythm. Repeats well. Feel for three pitches. Fastball sat 79-81 topping out at 82 mph for strikes. Curveball showed 11-5 shape at 65-66 mph. Changeup was firm with slight fading action at 73-75 mph.
