PBR at The Rock Fall Championships: Uncommitted 2023 Position Players
September 30, 2021
This past weekend, Sept. 23-26, PBR Wisconsin and PBR Tournaments hosted its final tournament of the calendar year: the PBR at The Rock Fall Championships. Our staff was on-hand to observe some of the top high school-aged prospects (classes 2022-25) in the area, primarily from Illinois and Wisconsin.
Our post-event coverage began on Wednesday, when we covered the uncommitted Class of 2022 position players who showed well last weekend. Today, we’re turning our attention to the event’s Class of 2023 position players who remain uncommitted, as there were a ton of high-end, on-the-market prospects among them. Stay tuned throughout this week as we continue to share some of the highlights from the 2021 PBR at The Rock Fall Championships.
UNCOMMITTED CLASS OF 2023
MIDDLE INFIELDERS
+ MIF Jack Counsell (Whitefish Bay, WI): Counsell’s excellent bat-to-ball skills were on display all weekend long, and he looks like one of Wisconsin’s best uncommitted prospects. He’s always been able to spray line-drives to all fields effectively, and this past weekend he showed the ability to drive the ball with more authority, capitalizing on a couple of mistakes in the zone for extra-base hits. Counsell’s a well-rounded prospect, with sound middle-infield actions and a simple, on-the-barrel, right-handed swing.
Just the latest example of INF Jack Counsell’s (@WFB_Baseball, 2023) bat-to-ball skills. Doubled into the gap in his first at-bat and tripled to a similar spot in his next one. One of the top uncommitted ‘23s in the state.#PBRatTheRock | @hittersbaseba11 https://t.co/QXSDND9hv6 pic.twitter.com/Dt2uBBgHnq
